THE VERY BEST VIDEO OF THE 9/12 MARCH ON WASHINGTON, D.C.

Bags and rolls of the U.S. Virgin Islands Quarter will go on sale at the US Mint on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 12:00 Noon ET. This will be the fifth coin released in the District of Columbia and US Territories Quarters Program.

The reverse design of the Virgin Islands Quarter features tyre palm trees, yellow elder flowers, and the banana quit bird. An outline of the three islands floats in the background with the inscription "United in Pride and Hope." The reverse was designed and sculpted by Joseph Menna.

The US Mint will offer Two Roll Sets, which contain one 40-coin roll from the Philadelphia Mint and one 40-coin roll from the Denver Mint. The rolls will come in US Mint branded wrappers that indicate the issue, mint mark, and face value of the coins. The two roll sets are priced at $32.95 each.

The US Mint will also offer 100-coin bags and 1000-coin bags from either the Philadelphia or Denver Mints. The 100-coin bags are priced at $32.95 and the 1000-coin bags are priced at $309.95.

The final production figures for the US Virgin Islands Quarters are still unknown. As I mentioned in a previous post, I think we might see a leveling off or even an increase in mintage for this release. If the mintage rises, it would break the streak of continually declining overall mintages for the 2009 quarters. The mintage figures of the Virgin Islands Quarter will hopefully be available in early October.

When the US Virgin Islands Quarters bags and rolls go on sale, the US Mint will likely end sales of any remaining American Samoa Quarter bags and rolls. The 1000-coin bag from the Philadelphia Mint recently sold out, but the remaining products are still available at the time of this post.

Today on Coin Update

I recently published a post entitled US Mint Products I Am Buying Now. This post was inspired by some of the discussions about various US Mint products which often occur in the comments of Mint News Blog posts. I invite any readers to contribute an article on the same topic for publication on Coin Update News that describes what US Mint products you are buying and why. I've been pretty confined by the laptop bag that Madame has safely stored me in on our flight to Hong Kong. We are now just hours away from her speech. I can't wait; I just know it is going to be good!

I did a lot of thinking on the flight over to Hong Kong. I've noticed with all of the articles that Madame has read since the Great Opologizer became President, it seems as if he and his administration have created their very own dictionary and thesaurus as a means of defining their policies and political strategy. For one, Press Secretary Robert Gibbs doesn't seem to quite know how to define Madame:

In this clip, Robert Gibbs says, " I'll let Webster define what one calls her". Well, Mr.Gibbs why don't you let LOTUS define what one calls her? You can call her Governor Palin, Madame 45, Goddess of Energy, Sarah Barracuda, the Iron Lady of the North, etc. Hmm, I guess that is more of a thesaurus listing, but you get my point.

When Madame and I were writing the "nail in Obamacare's coffin" Facebook post, Madame used the forever-to-be remembered phrase "death panels". We first wrote that post in Microsoft Word before transferring it to Facebook. As you may know, Word allows you to highlight a word and find a synonym if you so desire. Madame could have used the phrase "fatality board" or "casualty jury", but she knew that "death panels" would speak to the heart of the matter--bureaucratization of health care.

Madame called it like she saw it, rather than try to sugar-coat it like President Obama when he called health care reform that includes a pubic option, "health insurance reform". A spoonful of sugar does not make socialized medicine go down!

"Health insurance reform" instead of "socialized medicine" is not the first entry in the Obama thesaurus, nor is the Robert Gibbs needing a dictionary to define Madame the first time that the Obama administration has needed a dictionary to define something. In President Obama's media blitz on Sunday, during one of his interviews he did not seem to understand that fining people for not signing up for health insurance is, indeed, a tax. You can put lipstick (very badly) on a tax by calling it a fine, but it's still a tax, Mr. President.

There have been a few other occasions when the Obama administration has wanted to use other phrases to define political terms. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano now calls "terrorism" a "man-caused disaster". The Obama administration calls the "war on terror" " an "overseas contingency operation".

That's OK, though, Mr. President because another entry in your thesaurus is when you referred to Madame as a "prominent politician", as shown in the clip above. As Madame currently holds no political title, I'm thinking that President Obama is conceding that Madame is going to be his successor, if she chooses to run. Prominent politician is synonymous with Madame 45.

As I have stated in a previous blog, as far as Congress and Obama are concerned, We the People are completely irrelevant. What we want does not matter in the least to them.

Things appear to really be getting out of hand with this administration and Congress with a number of issues, but most importantly the health care issue.

I heard this morning, on the Fox News Network, that the White House is now threatening private health insurance companies if they continue to send out letters to their customers, especially senior citizens with what the White House calls lies and falsehoods.

A spokesman for HUMANA told Fox that what the health insurance companies are doing is nothing more then letting senior citizens and others know the TRUTH, which is that despite what Obama and members of Congress are telling the people, the government IS going to cut MEDICARE by roughly $150 million (possibly more) while raising the amount that seniors are going to have taken out of their monthly Social Security to cover their Medicare.

HUMANA rightfully claims that seniors, who have paid into Medicare all of their working lives, and are still having to pay huge amounts taken directly out of their Social security checks every month for Medicare (I have to pay $96.00 a month right off the top of my Social Security, and another $48.00 a month for a supplemental health insurance to cover what Medicare does not cover, along with a $20.00 co-pay for each doctor visit and a $5.00 co-pay for prescriptions) have a RIGHT to know the truth of what Obama and the Democrat Congress is going to do to them if and when they pass a health care bill.

Another thing that is in all of the various versions of health care bills floating around the House and the Senate, which also includes the Sen. Baucus Bill, is a provision that makes it MANDATORY that ALL Americans obtain health insurance or face heavy fines, yet they keep telling us that this is not a government take-over of health care.

No matter what Obama and the members of Congress tell us, no matter which health care bill is passed, it WILL be a government take over of health care and it will cost us dearly.

The federal government has absolutely NO CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT or POWER to make it MANDATORY for us to buy into any health insurance policy, nor to fine us if we choose not to. Nor does the federal government have the
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT or POWER to be involved in any kind of health care program or take over.

This administration is working overtime to trample on the Constitution of the United States, and in the process, Obama along with all the members of Congress are violating their oaths of office, and this has got to STOP, not in three or four years, but NOW!

If I may, I would like to offer one possible solution. If there are any readers of this blog who either are or know of a good Constitutional Lawyer, who would be ready, willing and able to fight this in the Supreme Court of the United States, if and when Congress passes a health care bill, then perhaps we can make donations and/or run fund raisers to pay for this endeavor.

The time of just talking and marching is NOW OVER, it is time for some REAL action. We have allowed the government to get away with their usurpation of power and blatant violations of the Constitution for years, and if we do not stop it now, we will have nothing left. This is not an idle threat, it is FACT!

If any of you have a better idea, please let me know. Nothing else seems to be working.

The price of gold has spent much of the prior week above the $1,000 level. This makes a price increase for the US Mint's current gold numismatic products almost certain to take place.

Under the US Mint's pricing policy for gold and platinum numismatic products, prices can be adjusted as often as weekly in response to changes in the average price of gold. Every time the average price of gold moves across $50 increments, prices are raised proportionally. The last price increase occurred two weeks ago when the average price of gold moved into the $950 to $999.99 range. This week prices would be adjusted to the $1,000 to $1,049.99 range.

The London AM and PM Fix Gold prices for the weekly period considered by the US Mint are included below. Based on witnessing when price changes occurred in the past, it seems that the US Mint uses the average of the AM Fix prices from the prior Thursday to the current Wednesday. PM Fix prices are included, but only from Thursday to Tuesday.
London AM and PM Fix Gold Prices

AM Fix PM Fix
Thurs Sept 17 1020.50 1018.50
Fri Sept 18 1014.00 1012.00
Mon Sept 21 999.25 997.00
Tues Sept 22 1015.75 1014.00
Wed Sept 23 TBD N/A

The only gold numismatic products current offered by the US Mint are the First Spouse Gold Coins and the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle. The First Spouse Coins will see their prices raised from $654 and $641 for proof and uncirculated coins to $679 and $666 $665.75 for proof and uncirculated coins, respectively. The UHR will see its price raised from $1,339 to $1,389. These will represent the highest price levels since the US Mint first adopted their new pricing policy.

The impending price change creates an interesting confluence of events for the 2009 Ultra High Relief Double Eagle Gold Coin. This Monday, the US Mint completely removed ordering limits from the coin and this Wednesday, it is almost certain that the price of the coin will be raised by $50. Bulk buyers who believe that the price of gold won't be falling back below the $1,000 level will have a small remaining window of time before prices are raised.

If you are considering buying any of the US Mint's gold products, try to place your orders today or early tomorrow morning before the price change take effect.

Question
What do you get when you tell a population of 300 million people that you can get between $2,000 and $15,000 per marijuana plant?
Answer: You get a population of 300 million people believing that marijuana is worth somewhere between $2,000 and $15,000.

What do you expect when upwards of 20% of this population are desperately looking for a job?
Answer: A 20% of this population willing to do just about anything to feed their families and save their homes.

Now, here's the big question...

What do you get when a large number of people willing to do just about anything read or hear in the news that a simple marijuana plant can bring them between $2,000 and $15,000 each?
Answer
More people selling pot as economy goes up in smoke
Out of work? Some folks are trying pot. Not to smoke -- but to sell.

That's the route increasing numbers of people are taking amid the worst recession in decades, according to law enforcement officials based in ganja-rich regions around the country.
Marijuana farming rebounds in economic hard time
"A lot of that, we theorize, is the economy," said Ed Shemelya, head of marijuana eradication for the Office of Drug Control Policy's Appalachian High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. "Places in east Tennessee, eastern Kentucky and West Virginia are probably feeling the recession a lot more severely than the rest of the country and have probably been in that condition a lot longer than the rest of the country."
The Problem
Well, if you didn't click on the linked "$15,000" in the first question, the answer is there (along with the story of Georgia cops who came up with that wild figure).

Prohibitionist Idiot #002: Lies Cops Tell

In short, purely idiotic local, state, and federal authorities that severely exaggerate the value of marijuana and the media that propagates their nonsense. It seems the value of marijuana is subject to any idiot's imagination. If you're ignorant of marijuana value, you'll believe it. If you're desperate, you'll look for information on how to grow it.

These conditions, created by idiotic police, have backfired in the worst way possible - for prohibitionists. Now "everyone" wants to grow marijuana like it's the gold rush of 1849 all over again. And, I am happy to help.

The picture at the left has nothing to do with the Swine Flu Shot. I just put it there because I thought it was funny.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE FORCED TO TAKE THE SWINE FLU SHOT:

Dr. Baylock did a great job of interpreting the misleading data and fear mongering put out by the MSM. Dr. Baylock believes that the expected "casualties" from the swine flu, recently released by the presidential advisory panel are nothing but pure fiction.

CNN reported, on August 25, 2009, that the swine flu could cause up to 90,000 deaths in the U.S. alone. According to Dr. Baylock, this downright preposterous. He says that there is absolutely no evidence to validate such numbers.

Check out the following videos to hear what Dr. Baylock has to say:
