Date: February 22, 2011
Time: 9:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Bright orange light/disc.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: From the east noticed bright flickering orange light the size of Jupiter moving slowly to the west. It moved almost directly overhead as it passed to the west. It travelled at what seemed to be aircraft speed, maybe 3-5k feet.

As it got more directly overhead it flickered more and almost 'went out' . After it stopped flickering, a silent very dim orange disc/circle is what passed overhead the size of thumbnail at arms length. No change in direction, no sound.

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Taylor Wayne County Michigan.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Oval.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Both of us were standing on the side of our property looking towards the north when out of the south side of our view, a semi-transparent, flesh colored oval shaped UFO approximately 20 feet off the ground and about 2 feet long traveling about 20 mph.

We both have gone over this sighting many times since, trying to put together every detail and we both agree on exactly what we witnessed that evening.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, thanks for the interest. The sighting was at my house in Taylor, Michigan in Wayne County, 12 miles S.W. of Detroit, Michigan. I've searched for some time now over the internet for anything similar to our sighting with out any luck. Is this anything that your team has had any knowledge of? Keep in touch, Thanks.

Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Macomb Township Michigan.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: Various.
Shape of Objects: Oval and star shaped.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went outside around 9:00p.m.on January 19th, 2011 and I looked up and saw 3 bright white/yellow lights hovering low in the distance. I knew it wasn't airplanes or helicopters, because they were just hovering and slowly rotating and they lit up the sky.

As I'm looking, I noticed various white small star-like shapes around it twinkling in and out, then those star-like things started falling, looking like a meteor shower. I called for my son to come out and see it so I had a witness. I thought I was just seeing things.

Well, out of the sky a bright, brilliant green light shot through the sky and fell over the horizon, a couple minutes after that, the 3 oval bright lights that were hovering went up, out of sight. I was calling everyone I knew and they all thought I was crazy. The next morning on the news reported sightings of that bright green light falling from the sky, but as of yet, there is no explanation for it.

Hello, I just wanted to report a sighting that happened just 30 minutes ago. The sighting was just south of I96 and MLK exit 101 just off Holt Rd. My son and I and his friend noticed a long row of bright orange lights. I would say 10-15 of them. In the lead were three orange lights in a triangle pattern. They were moving quite slowly. We noticed them driving south on M99 just past Waverly Rd.

They were off to the west so I turned west on to Holt Rd. I parked the car and got out with lights turned off. The objects were silent and slowly went upwards and one after another like follow the leader, disappeared. Please let me know if you have any other reports of this sighting.

Date: Late Summer 1984
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

The Vike Factor Note: The witness thought it was Brian Vike who saw the objects, but it was someone filing there report to the Vike Factor.

Hello Brian, I just saw your information about what you saw in August. I saw what sounds like, very similar objects, but almost 24 years ago.

I was around 16 or 17 and it was late summer. (If memory serves..lol) It was the year, the movie Muppets Take Manhattan and Purple Rain (1984) had come out. I would have to look that up to really give an exact date/year.

My friends and I had gone to the movies and seen something on the way home.

My friends mom had picked us up from the Wayne theatre. The one friend was also my next door neighbor and we stayed outside our homes after we got home to watch for whatever it was we saw in the car on the way home. Hoping to see it again.

I was in the back seat and barely caught a glimpse of the light moving in the sky but, my friends and her mom saw it better and were freaked. It only lasted a few seconds. I was disappointed to have missed a direct view, but they were really excited about it.

I lived in Westland at the time with my parents.

When we got home we checked the sky's, but it was very cloudy that night except for the area directly over our subdivision. My one friend and I sat on the hood of my parents car for quite awhile, my friend got tired and went in.

I can't recall how much longer it was after that. I think it was about 20 minutes later, when I saw the most amazing thing.

It was around 11:00pm or a bit later (again, if memory serves) when all of a sudden, while I was staring up at the clearing in the sky, around 9 objects perfectly round and bright orange with small tails of flames seemed to appear.

They were pretty big, not sure how to describe the size of them to be honest, but big enough to be perfectly clear and have very defined edges and for as high as I suspect they were. I am thinking they had to be quite large.

The objects were flying in a formation, kind of diamond shaped and in three rows. Perfectly aligned to each other and evenly spaced. There was no sound and the moved very slow and in a perfectly straight direction. They moved from south to north.

I jumped off the car, never taking my eyes away and yelled for my parents.

My Mom was the first one at the front door and was able to come out far enough from the door to look up and see the last few rows slowly move across the sky and fade.

Our house faced south if that means anything.

The oddest part is that when I saw them appear and disappear. I can only describe it as if these objects entered our atmosphere and then left it the same way. It was as though they were on this perfectly straight and level trajectory that took them into our atmosphere then back out again. The heat tails were exactly like what one would expect if something grazed our sky's. The tails were not very long but, noticeable.

The objects were within the area of the sky, above my house, that were devoid of clouds the whole time.

It took maybe, less than minute or two for them to appear and move across the sky then fade out of view.

They were the most amazing things I have ever seen.

I was use to seeing planes, since we lived in a very active area due to Metro airport being only a half hour away. These were definitely not planes or anything I or my Mom had ever seen before.

I know this is many years apart but, your description of the lights reminded me of what I had seen all those years ago and thought I should share it. Please, feel free to reply. I am curious about the details of your sighting and if your lights were anything like the ones I saw. Thanks and have a great night.

Date: December 25, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.

My husband and I were unloading our car on Christmas night at approx. 9:00 - 9:30pm when 3 red balls of light caught his eye. He motioned to me to come look and sure enough, there were 3 red balls of light in the distance heading south towards Toledo, Oh, I was just about to run inside to get my binoculars, when a 4th red ball of light caught our eye.

This one seemed to go right over our heads and seemed low in the sky, under the clouds. It was traveling much farther behind than the others. The only way we can explain it is that it was a red glowing light surrounded by some sort of a glowing halo. There was absolutely no sound coming from it and it just floated in the sky. These objects didn't seem to be moving fast. I tried to call my mom who lives in Toledo, but she wasn't able to see them.

I decided to check online to see if anyone else had by chance seen this and that's when I came across Brian’s blog. Would love to know what they were!

Time: Around 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

I seen these in Lambertville, Mi (which is about 5 minutes from Toledo, OH). I was driving home around 7:00pm – 8:00pm and seen three red balls together in a vertical straight line.

It appeared to me that they were all moving together from north to south, but my girlfriend thought they were not moving. There was also a fourth ball that was traveling the same direction, but was a little distance behind.

I was not sure what these were because there was no blinking lights similar to airplanes. You can email me back if you would like to.

Date: July 3, 2010
Time: Midnight.

On July 3, 2010 south of the Red Bud Motocross event in Buchanan MI. two of us witnessed nearly twenty lights lasting 10 minutes traverse the sky at midnight. No way can we come up with any plausible explanation.

At first I thought it was a night parachute event. But the pattern indicated to us it could not have been. The glow was similar to a faint low pressure sodium lamp. They were not high in the sky. More at the horizon maybe eleven o’clock. From our position they were at the height of the power lines across the street. They were to dim for my IPhone to capture on video.

I saw a green object around the same time over Oxford, MI on November 7, 2010. It was low in the horizon traveling south to north. I thought it might have been a green meteor, but it had no tail. I had two passengers in the car who also saw the same thing all we could say is what the heck was that.

Date: November 10 2010
Time: 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Sarnia Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round ?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband came in from outside and told me there was a UFO around 11:00pm. I went out with him and there was what looked to be a round object lit up in white, with a flashing or orbiting red light around it. It was hovering over Fort Gratiot MI at a much lower height than airplanes fly. We watched it for about 15 minutes during which time it did not move at all, then we went inside because it was cold. About 45 minutes later it had disappeared from this location, but my husband found it again, this time hovering over the southeast area of Sarnia.

It was very bright and it seemed to very slightly move up and down.

My brother-in-law also witnessed the same object, however he spotted a few hours earlier. It also appeared to have beams of light projecting from it as the lights would flash. Last week a few friends of ours had also described the exact same thing in Sarnia, however I do believe that they had seen more than one object.

This sighting was over Sarnia, Ontario: As well, about a month ago my husband was looking for satellites and he watched a particularly bright one for a while when it suddenly stopped almost directly above our home.

Then it suddenly went very fast back in the direction it had come. I joined my husband and we watched it for nearly 1.5 hours as it swayed in the sky, made spiral movements both clockwise and counterclockwise and move from North to South. There were 2 stars close to it and we used these as reference points so that we knew it was not our eyes. We also laid down on our diving board to keep our heads still.

We have no idea what these objects were that we have been seeing. My brother in law has since purchased a telescope in the hopes of getting a closer view.

Time: 6:15 am.m to 6:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting:
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving my daughter to school and we saw a light glow in the dark sky and it shot across the sky and disappeared. We thought it was a shooting star, but it went straight. Then when I told my husband that night, he said when he was dropping my son at work around the same area. My son saw it to, as he said it appeared and moved side to side before shooting off into the dark. It was like the back of a jet when it starts, that's how I can describe the light at first.

We live in Michigan. The sighting was on Kent Lake Road between Silver Lake Road and Grandriver that’s where we were, but it was off in the distance in the sky. Not sure if it was Brighton or South Lyon Boundary. Thanks so much .If I was by myself they would of never believed it!

Time: Approx: 2:55 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Over Michigan.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Bright light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I had noticed the object a few days earlier before October 26, it was moving very fast, then suddenly stopped and stay in it’s location for almost an hour. It then began to move slowly downwards and and to the east until I could not see it anymore.

On October 29 I seen the same object with my friend, we observed the light moving around back and forth up and down and almost appeared as if another light came of it and encircled it for a few minutes. After awhile it just blinked out, I plan to capture this on camera.

Date: October 29, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

Tonight after bow hunting at around 8:00pm I saw a bright white light going east. It was about 50 times bigger than the largest star in the sky. At first I thought it was a meteor or "falling star", but it was going much slower and without a tail. There was zero audible noise, and lasted about 15 to 20 seconds before it just turned off as if some one flipped a light switch.

There were 3 of us that witnessed the entire event. Very, very strange occurrence. Please let me know if you receive any more sightings. Thank you.

Myself and other independent witnesses viewed 6 on 6 different nights, during summer of '08 much like described, except for white instead of orange and noted a pinkish hue before disappearing. I believe that certain parts of the U.P is a hot spot akin to Sedona, AZ. I am more than happy to disclose the exact location if kept confidential to prevent a UFO tourist rush.

Time: 7:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, on October 20th at 7:20pm while driving south on Pennsylvania St., just north of I-496 I saw two red/amber lights traveling northeast at the same speed about a quarter mile apart and ascending on about a 5 degree angle. The two lights stopped and split in-two and one of the lower lights moved to the two upper lights and moved around them going to the top to form a triangle and then to the bottom to form a triangle and then all around them.

After that they seem to just float off to the east and disappear. Very strange.

Time: 9:05 p.m.

My name is (name removed) I saw exactly what you saw today, October 15th at 9:05pm. Orange orbs were traveling the same direction, north east. Their were about 30 of them at first, and slowly they individually stared to disappear, one by one. I'm not the only witness either. 3 others in my family saw it, including my mom and dad. Same amber color you saw, same formation, same time I think that is more than a coincidence! Please let me know if anyone else has come to you with a similar story!

Additional Information:

I live off Lansing Rd. These lights came from from the horizon over the Meijer warehouse. We have a very shaky and crappy video of the sighting, just as they were disappearing. They just faded out. It was the weirdest thing! 30-40 of them at first, no particular order, then they were gone.

It was in Delta Township, I was in my back yard. (removed exact home address). My brother spotted them and called my family all out to see it. They came from the northwest, and actually went southwest not east as I originally stated.

Hi my name is (name removed) and I happened to find your website while looking to see if what my brother and I witnessed on Saturday October 16th at 7:45 pm could be explained. Some of the details that I found on your website are very similar. So as a skeptic, I will do my best to describe to you what I saw.

I was traveling east bound into Grandville Mi (just south west of Grand Rapids) and there was a brilliant flash of light that lit up the entire horizon. I said to my brother, "holy crap" did you see that and he pointed, and said what is that. Exactly where the flash of light came from appeared 3 bright orange lights that formed a triangle. I pulled into the first parking lot so we could get a better view of the object or objects and as fast as it appeared it disappeared.

Where it went to we have no idea, the sky was empty of everything. No sounds, no more flashes of light nothing. Neither one of us has ever seen anything like it ever. When explaining it to others, I came up with the description of the Star Wars movies where when they warp into a different place there is a bright flash of light and then the craft. I have no other way of explaining it. We do see lots of military aircraft that come and go over West Michigan, but nothing has ever appeared like this.

Hello Brian, my name is (name removed) and I live in Sandusky MI. I have seen these orange objects twice actually. My cousin and I were taking a walk and this is about 7:30pm. I look up and their is this cluster of 10 or so orange orbs flying around like little bugs or something. My cousin and I looked at each other, and then look back up and they were gone.

Second time was around midnight when I was putting away my dogs and I look up and there is only one of them, but exactly the same shape and color as the last ones I seen. This one was only around for not even a second. I went around my house to look at it, and then it was gone. I am very curious to know what these are. Thanks.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At around 6:38 AM October 16th, in the NW sky something very, very large lit up the sky. It was round and the object was extremely bright, like a flood light. Light beamed out from the top like beams of light.

It was so large, we couldn't believe what we were seeing. Once we arrived at Holland MI to the Ham Radio gathering, several other folks 70 miles north observed the same light.

Brian Vike's Note: The witness thought it was me who witnessed the lights, it was not me, but rather someone else who filed their report to me.

Hello Brian, I saw those lights too Saturday night. It was the strangest thing I've ever seen in the sky. I have been looking for any official explanation, but have found nothing. Have you come across an explanation yet? It was hard for me to gauge distance size or speed. They seemed like slightly larger than a bright star. You described them as balloons which makes me think they were much larger relative to your perspective. Were they that big to you? I was in South Lyon Michigan. Where were you?
