Date: February 8, 2011
Time: Evening.

Hello, tonight while taking the dogs out, I was watching the sky as I always do. I live in central Kentucky near Fort Knox. I saw a faint clump of stars not as bright as others. As I stared at them, one moved around a lot. Very fast back and forth and up and down, kind of like north, south, east and west.

Then after a few minutes, others would join in. Sometimes in the same direction and sometimes in opposites. I have seen what I thought to be UFOs, but that was years ago when I lived in Louisville Ky. I was 17 or 18 at the time and was with my mom, who saw what I saw too. Now at 56 I have to think maybe my eyes aren't what they use to be, but still I saw what I saw.

The strange thing is as I first started watching them, I thought it would be cool to see a meter or shooting star in the cold air. Yes, as I was staring at the movements, a shooting star shot right in front of them.

Found your address at a site I found by searching "darting stars in the sky"! Don't know what I saw, but I did see it! I will include my work e-mail address, I normally don't send emails from home. Work address is (removed).

This object was sighted over West Central Minnesota on Halloween at about 6:00 p.m. CST. It was traveling from the east going west. Maybe someone can try some enhancements on the photo. Taken with a Kodak easy Share c913 using 3x zoom.

Date: October 9, 2010
Time: Early morning, dim light.

Location of Sighting: North Central Indiana.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 7 - 8.
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I am reporting a sighting that my parents and brother-in-law saw this weekend. My brother-in-law was traveling in the dim morning light when he saw 7-8 round orange lights in the sky arranged in a pattern. He quickly pulled into my parents place so that they could see them too, and so that people would not think he was teasing.

My dad and mom came outside and were able to see 2 of the remaining orange lights in the sky. My mom said it was clear. I know she is right because we were traveling very near there when the sun was coming up that morning and the skies were clear. She described the lights as appearing stationary, orange, and larger than stars.

All three of them watched as the remaining 2 lights dimmed and faded from view. Did anyone else see this in the area? I am reporting this because I know they likely will not. I find this fascinating and wish I knew what they were!

Date: October 9, 2010
Time: Approx: 1:30 - 3:00 a.m.

I was awake early am 10-9-10 approx: 1:30 -3:00 am, sitting out on the deck enjoying the night sky. We have a beautiful view of the eastern sky, and are in very remote ranch land in central Texas. There is an aircraft pattern that is visible from far southeast to northwest generally.

The objects that we sighted were traveling from east to west. The craft traveled slowly and seemed somewhat erratic moving slightly from side to side.

As the object came closer, it was obvious that there were lights that were much different from the usual aircraft lights, the colors were red yellow and blue and pulsated, looked very much light an emergency vehicle. With binoculars the lights were very bright, almost unbearable to watch.

After about an hour we realized there was another object coming from northeastern sky traveling south towards the original object, but was much further away. I wanted to stay up and watch, but grew increasingly tired and went to bed. Have there been any other reports of these objects? What the heck did we see? Thanks.

Date: September 5, 2010
Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.

I am in central Mississippi. Around 7:30pm I noticed a bright object high in the sky and slightly southwest (it was not Venus). I brought out my Orion Starblast 6 which I use as a rookie only. I received the scope as a gift and I can find some of the obvious items in space. I centered the object in the finder scope, then dropped in a 25mm eyepiece and found that the object was almost out of sight.

I found it and then dropped in a 10mm eyepiece and again the object was nearly out of sight, I found it. This entire time I am thinking that this is Jupiter. At first glance I still thought it was Jupiter with one moon visible. Once I focused I realized that the "moon" was rapidly moving around the sphere.

My wife was outside and I asked her to take a look. She saw the same thing. The "moon" appeared to be tethered to the main object that was a sphere. It was a perfect night for seeing with no distortion at all in the atmosphere. I looked again, then my wife and then me again. On this observation the sphere broke apart into many pieces that began to scatter rapidly. I then caught a red "flame" in the scope and followed it until it went behind the trees in my back yard. The red flame appeared to have a tail waiving behind it. I went inside and grabbed my phone and noticed that it was 744 pm.
