Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

We saw an orange UFO east of C-Ville around 11:00 last night. It looks similar to the Chinese sky lanterns, but it was flying too fast and erratically. We saw it 3 times throughout the night. We even had confirmation from a neighbor that they saw it too.

Date: January/February 2011
Time: Evenings.

A Vike Factor Note: I have been receiving numerous sighting reports of a half Moon/Crescent shaped object flying about. The reports are coming from different areas and different country's. What I thought some of the reports were of a Crescent Moon, I am going to have to take a closer look into these types of sightings.

My mother has been telling me that she has seen several times a half moon flying object hovering around the farm at night and at times is there for a hour or more and she does not know what it is. This is within the last month Jan/Feb 2011.

She states its a half moon shaped and the first time she saw it, she woke up and saw lights shinning around the house and window and thought someone was outside. So she got up to look and saw the object floating around and watched for almost an hour before it finally left up the valley and across a ridge.

She says that there is a man in it, and I ask her how do you know and she says she can see him sitting in it and that he has a light he shines around as if looking around the fields and has a blue uniform on? She states that it does not make a noise and moves slowly around and at times is so low she wonders how it keeps from hitting the power line. Then it moves up around the ridge line and disappears.

She states she has saw it 3 to 4 times now and expect she will see again. The last time was around a week ago. Its always at night.

This is the three cross road area of Mercer County West Virginia.

I saw some flying over General Booth Blvd. and Dam Neck Road at approximately 9:10 tonight. They looked like what you described. Orange and flickering like a dim flare floating by on a parachute. They were floating toward the ocean. Unfortunately I was driving and could not follow them.

I saw one go over top of me and another behind it following the same path. I came right home and Googled it on the internet and your site was the first I found. I live in Virginia Beach, Va in the United States. Very curious as to what they may be. Thanks.

I saw a reddish orange dot in the sky round 12:00am. I recorded it in my phone because I was astonish. I live in the USA and as I was watching, I knew it could not be a airplane or fire works and while that thing was in the sky, sprint customers phones went out. They could not talk or text on they phone.

Date: December 28 to the 29th, 2010
Time: 10:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. then at 2:00 a.m. – 3:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Ashland Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 4, 1, 1.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was smoking a cigarette when I saw what I thought was a star at first, then it started moving. I grabbed some binoculars and they were flashing green and red. I then noticed there was two, one was moving on top of the other and then slowly started moving down by the tree line and disappeared. Then I saw another one, so I went to get my dad, and then there was 3.

They formed a triangle until a plane flew by and two of them disappeared, then reappeared once the plane left. After that I saw what I think was a military jet moving very fast towards them and they just stopped. (what I think is they turned into stars or something) My dad went away then I noticed a bigger object that had three bright yellow lights (***) that’s similar to what it looked like.

I went to go get my dad and the big one vanished when we came back. After that it was all simmering down until I saw on the tree-line a lower flying object with very bright pulsing orange lights that followed the tree-line and then flew into the night.

Later around 2:00am I went to smoke another cigarette and I saw one very bright red and green flashing light. This time I went to get my brother and he saw it too. He then took the binoculars and looked around and spotted another one that looked farther away. As we we watching the two, we noticed a third by the tree-line and it hovered slowly down until we could no longer see it.

We continued to watch the two that were still there and it looked like the bigger brighter light started moving towards the little one and then just stopped. They just floated there for about 30 minutes getting dimmer and dimmer. I looked around the woods to see if there was anything, and I thought I saw an alien ( thinking back it was probably just my eyes playing tricks) but I had my brother shine a light over the way and I started walking outside towards it.

I got close and still couldn’t tell, then I noticed the big bright pulsing orange lights by the tree-line again. I pointed at it to show my brother and I started running back to the house. We watched the orange light follow the tree-line again, but was going to opposite direction.

Date: December 29, 2010
Time: 8:45 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Route 15 about 1 mile north of Route 50 in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Number of witnesses: 1 (although the car travelling in front of me must have seen it too)
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round bright blue and green light travelling fast!

Hi there, I just got home from a trip to Wal-Mart to purchase a new comforter, and on my way I saw a blue and green light bolt over top of my car just above the trees on Route 15 in Loudoun County, just about a mile from Route 50 heading north. It totally freaked me out! The car in front of me (as well as myself) slammed on the breaks.

I immediately Googled "Blue and Green Lights over Loudoun County Skies" when I got home a few minutes ago and came up with your website. Although the description on your site was of white lights, I thought I would drop you a line to mention that my sighting of "whatever it was" was in the same location. I'm still palpitating.

Time: 5:49 a.m.

I was on my way to work on Tuesday, 14 December 2010 at 0549 EST traveling on Route 3 east towards Fredericksburg about 6-7 miles West of Fredericksburg, approximate coordinates 38°18’N 77°37’W, and I saw a bright meteor with a fire trail below and about 10° east of Venus which was at an altitude of 22° and an azimuth of 127°.

The object was probably at an altitude of 10° and an azimuth of 115° when I first saw it and it traveled in an southeasterly direction (going down and to the left from my perspective)

It lasted for 2-3 seconds and was very bright, it was brighter than Venus and also I could almost discern a visible disk with the bright gas/flame trailing by about 2°-3°. I was wondering if anyone else had seen it and came across your website and the report http://unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com/2010/12/yellow-ball-of-lights-fall-from-sky.html

I don’t know if what I saw is related to that report, what I saw was definitely a large meteor/fireball.

Time: Evening.

Was just driving back to my apartment and my girlfriend and I noticed a yellow ball of lights fall from really high up in the sky. I am not sure if it was a meteor. We did not see a tail and it was very fast. We were both suprised at what we had witness. Also about two nights ago we witnessed at least 12 random lights moving all across the sky.

These did look like jets, but since it was at night it was extremely difficult to tell. However, one set of the lights appeared to be moving in the same speed and equal widths apart from each other forming a triangle. We live in Fredericksburg, VA near central park. Any records of naval training?

Glad we can share this info with you. If you know of any reports from other people please let us know.

Date: Mid to late 1930's
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, this possible UFO sighting occurred around the mid to late 1930's in southern West Virginia. It occurred about 3 miles distant from the sighting my grandma had earlier in that decade of a possible UFO. James, whose brother had married into our family, was a no nonsense kind of person. A hard worker, who raised a large family, he was also known as one who was "afraid of nothing and no one".

On the night this happened, James had left the church which let out around 9:00pm. He had a long walk to his home down a country road known as Saw Mill Road. Often, especially after church services or revivals, groups of people would be walking together on the road to their respective homes.

Whether or not James had such company for awhile isn't known, but he was definitely by himself when this event happened. As to whether anyone else in the area on their way home may have witnessed something unusual in the skies that night is unknown.

At any rate, not too far from the church, the road had a steep uphill grade. It was banked by a forest on one side and small meadow below on the right. As James reached the top of this hill, he began to feel uncomfortable. He wasn't afraid or spooked by anything, but the feeling that overcame him caused him to be wary. As we use to say "to put one's guard up". He looked around as he walked, but saw nor heard anything unusual.

He had reached the bottom of the hill and had walked less than five minutes further when something caused him to look behind him. It was never made clear whether it was a sound, a flash of light, or that feeling that someone was following that caused him to do this.

But in doing so, what he saw was a "large" ball of white light suspended very low and very near him. One thing he knew for certain about this was, it wasn't the moon.

If James expressed sheer fear he never indicated it to his family when telling the story. In fact, there was never any indication that he was so frightened that he bolted.

His exact words were "the faster I walked, the faster it picked up speed". The object kept right up with him. It never attempted to overcome him or out distance him. Instead it tagged along behind him on the long road like a wary dog for approximately another mile.

When James reached the forks of the Saw Mill Road, the white ball of light had suddenly disappeared. "I looked one second and it was there. The next, it was gone." He had not witnessed whether it sped away or just blinked out.

Someone in later years suggested that the white ball of light might have been something like "swamp gas" or some such phenomena as that. I find it difficult to believe that a ball of "swamp gas" would tag along behind someone, making every twist and turn of the road, for a mile or so as this one did.

As far as I know, James never offered an explanation himself as to what he thought it might be. Given his character, I believe he just told the events as they happened and somewhere in his mind classified it as something that was profoundly out of the ordinary in his life. Something as it turned out would never happen again to him. Thanks, Brian.

Time: 8:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Keyser West Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 1, not sure if others saw this.
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Uncertain.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At 8:30 pm an object/brightly illuminated traveled silently from east to west passing over Keyser, WV. I viewed it for approx. 5 seconds, in which time it covered approximately 5 miles until out of my view. The altitude was low, I would say no higher than 5000 feet.

It was seen by another individual before it shot off out of sight in a fraction of a second. The light was a blue/white that seemed to shimmer and looked distorted around the object. The light was very intense and very beautiful.

Date: February 14, 2007?
Time: 10:20 p.m.

Location of Sighting: East Route 50 at Route 15, Loudoun County, Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Round bright lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my way to work on that very, cold, below zero temperature night, while snow and sleet continued falling on the ground. As I approached the traffic light that sat at the intersection of Route 50 at Route 15 (in Loudoun County, VA) I noticed some alarming bright lights above in the sky.

As I looked up, I saw what looked like two full moons, side by side. One would hide behind a puffy white cloud that was before them. The other one would wait for the one hiding behind the cloud to pop back up, then that round object would hide behind the cloud.

They took turns doing so. I pinched my face and skin. Because of the weather and road conditions, all motorists were encouraged and advised to stay off the roadway and schools were cancelled for the next day. But, I had to go to work. My vehicle wasn’t he only vehicle on the road (at that intersection) at that time. I could not believe my eyes. Then out of nowhere, came a helicopter. I could see the red light flashing on it.

I could easily identify it as a helicopter. I saw when the pilot obviously turned on his (or her) spotlight. It shined on these two bright unidentified objects in the sky. At this point, I am thrilled. I assume that the pilot of that helicopter got a close up of what I was looking at and would make headlines in the morning paper.

I just knew that I would read about it in the morning newspaper. I was more than excited about being a witness to this. I watched the helicopter fly slowly (and I mean slowly around these two circular objects (with it's spot light on). I had no camera or cell phone with me. But, I just knew that this would be all over the news. As I continued driving, I could see the two big bright solid beams that shined from the two unidentified objects down unto a snow covered area to my right.

I wanted to stop and follow the beams, but I was too scared. I will never forget those lights. Unidentified and they were pulsating, spinning around and popping up and down behind a cloud, one at a time. It was fascinating to be honest. By now one of my co-workers had set out to look for me because I had not made it to work. I ended up seeing my co-worker on Route 50.

We pulled over and one the first things that he said, that I mentioned was about those unidentified lights. To this date the only logical explanation for those lights, that time of night and shining that bright under those extreme weather conditions has to be either UFO's or our military personnel. Otherwise, there is no other explanation for beams or circular lights that bright. I wish that the pilot of the helicopter would talk.

I would love to share what I saw from the ground and love to hear just what he (or she/the pilot) saw at eye level in the sky facing those lights.

Unreal. I wish I would see this all over again, this time with a camera or video recorder.

Date: Around 1993
Time: Evening.

Location of Sighting: Nelson County Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 2 separate occasions.
Shape of Objects: Disk with a dome looking bottom which glowed orange.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was responding to the witness in the next county over from me which is Charlottesville Va. Though I have not seen it recently, I have witnessed such an object fly over the road on the mountain near where I live.

I have seen this twice, but not recently. To me it appeared as if the craft had a dome shaped bottom that was all lit up in orange. The sighting was brief and we were in old tall forest on a small country road. If all one can see is the bottom of a craft, a dome could likely appear as a ball shape or sphere. I think this was a disk with a dome on the bottom which glowed orange.

Brian, around 10:00pm on 11/5/2010 I was coming home from work and saw this orange ball just hovering over a wooded bike path here in Leesburg Va. I quickly got my wife and my cell phone to try to get video.

My video camera did not work, but I was able to take a snap shot. The ball hovered for a few minutes and then just seemed to float away without noise at a high rate of speed. Shortly after the ball went into the clouds we say multiple airplanes and helicopters flying around the sky near my neighborhood.

Date: October 8, 2010
Time: 7:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Wood County, West Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Like a child's toy top, about the size of a Quarter at arm's length. (25 cents).

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Just after sunset, with the glow on the horizon. I stepped out onto my front deck and noticed a dark shape, like a toy top. I thought it was a small, lone, cloud, until I realized there were no clouds anywhere else and the object was moving north quickly. I yelled for my wife to come look, confirmed that she saw it, turned to get binoculars from the seat behind me, and it was gone.

It had no lights and made no sound. It moved north beyond the tree line quickly. A single engine plane came in from the west just afterward, they could have seen it, since the plane crossed in front of where I first spotted the object.

A check of weather.com shows no clouds for a 200 mile radius, 3:00pm to 8:00pm, 10/8/10

Not my first sighting, Mr. Vike has received some of my other reports at his former website. Regards.
