Unknown Objects Moving Fast Over Portland Oregon

Date: January 16, 2011

Time: Evening.

My son and I were enjoying looking up at the night sky on our way into the house after coming home from dinner out. It had finally stopped raining, the moon was shining very brightly with nice big cloud breaks. We were both observing how rapidly the high open clouds were blowing through the sky, almost due East toward Mt. Hood.

We suddenly became aware that a flashing light was coming toward us from the southeast, flying very high and fast and leaving a thick white contrail behind it. Within seconds, it had passed nearly directly overhead and was obscured by a cloud passing beneath it.

Maybe 30 seconds later, another one of the flashing lights repeated an identical course, a short distance from the contrail left by the first, however this one left no trail of it’s passing at all. It too disappeared beyond the same cloud to the northwest. We waited a few minutes, but saw no more.

Several things struck us both as remarkable:

a) Very fast, extremely fast and appeared and gone within a few seconds, not appearing to fly leisurely as ordinary passenger jets up high.

b) Much higher than any passenger jet I have seen, and seeming a lot higher than the usual military fighter that goes overhead here. These were flying higher than the clouds, they appeared to disappear over the cloud, not into it. Also as the second was passing, an ordinary passenger jet also flew by, substantially lower and slower.

c) Very bright flashing red and white lights (alternating), especially considering how high they were. Flashing brighter and faster than the slower, dimmer passenger jet, by comparison.

d) No sound and we waited for it, expecting to hear sonic booms (perhaps they were too high? - I don't know how that works) We easily heard the regular jet as usual, but not a thing from either of these.

e) Strange thick/non-dissipating chemtrail, but only from one, and it stopped emitting before it was obscured beyond the cloud. The second (hypersonic?) never left an apparent trail at all, but the trail by the first was very thick and remained clearly defined, not dissipating at all by the time we went inside. we are used to seeing chemtrails here all the time, normally they begin dissipating even before the jet has finished passing.

This one did not, and we also thought it quite odd that the 2nd aircraft left no trail at all, yet in every other way flew identically as the first. Would really love to know what these were, suspecting our friendly local air force is up to something again. No doubt classified, of course.

Unknown Light Seen From 15 Freeway Southbound Towards Lake Elsinore California

Date: January 1, 2011
Time: 4:00 a.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My boyfriend and I were driving home early New Year's morning, and noticed a very bright, intense light in the sky as we merged onto the southbound 15 freeway. There were hardly any cars were on the road, and it was a beautifully clear night and so cold, not a cloud in the sky.

We were trying to decide what it was: helicopter, satellite, UFO. The light never moved except for the illusion of it being on the left or the right side of the freeway depending on which twist of the road we were on. As we neared the Lake Elsinore area, the light seemed very low in the hemisphere and seemed to be right over the hilltops. The light never dimmed, but it would shimmer. We never took our eyes off of the light until we finally passed it heading on to our own destination.

Unknown Crescent Shaped Cloud Formation Changes Over Haworth New Jersey

Date: August 1977
Time: 6:00 p.m. until about 8:00 p.m.

I witnessed a similar sighting in Haworth, New Jersey. A strange crescent shaped cloud formation that seemed to be moving like a snake. It changed position and straightened out into a sort of missile shaped UFO with a trail of smoke coming from the bottom like a rocket. It then became extremely bright, like when magnesium burns. By that time it was getting late and I could no longer watch it. I spent about 2 hours staring at it .

Additional Information:

The date and time would be approximately August 20 on a weekday 1977 from 6:00 p.m. until about 8:00 p.m. The crescent shaped cloud formation was much smaller then the one you described.

Others Witnesses To Unknown Lights Over Murrieta California

Date: January 6, 2011

Time: Approx: 9:35 p.m.

The Vike Factor Note: The witness gave a link to view a page which held some footage of an object that they thought was similar to their sighting, but the image at the link below is a jet aircraft for sure. What these folks saw, I believe was something else, other than an aircraft, what, I haven’t a clue what was seen, but sighting reports sure have been coming in over the January 6, 2011 sighting out of California.

We thought it looked something like this. Never seen anything like it, hoping to find out what it was.

Additional Information:

At 9:35pm or so 1-6-2011 from the I-15 north in Murrieta, California. We Googled images of fireballs, in which it looked like to us. Someone said it may have been a Lake Elsinore parachute team with flares holding hands then let go, but to use this looked too big to be a plane which was our first guess,when we saw it, it was in the air for about 20 seconds. So curious!

Unknown Object Baffles Witness Seen Over South Los Angeles California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Well I usually am not the type to go online and Google UFO sightings, but after what I saw I just had to. I had gone to the balcony of my 3 story apartment to smoke a cigarette. Around 3:00am I'm looking up to the sky just observing the stars when all of a sudden I see like a round shaped object flying over South Los Angeles going south.

At first I'm thinking it’s a bird, but the object was too far high and too big for it to have been a bird of any sort. As its approaching right above me going south, I thought it was a balloon because of how it was shaped, but it was going too fast for it to have been a balloon. I've seen balloons in the air before and they've gone nowhere near this fast and it was not windy at the time.

It couldn't have been a plane because it had no lights, none. So I am just staring at it as its moving with my jaw dropping and eyes wide opened. I try to keep up with the object, but as its getting further. I lose sight of it. I wanted to get my camera, but it was just to high up and was afraid I was going to lose sight of it by the time I came back out.

Since it had no lights, I doubt it would have been visible to the cam. I just want to know if its a possibility that it was an aircraft with no lights? I live near LAX, so I know how planes look and this looked nothing like a aircraft. It was traveling too fast. Could it have been a military aircraft? Because what I saw was really high in altitude and real fast. I even woke up my family here. I would really appreciate a reply to what it may have been, because now I can't go to sleep because I'm not sure what it was. Please email back.thank you.

Strange Unknown Lights Over Hershey Pennsylvania

Date: December 24, 23010

time: Approx: 7:15 p.m.

I came across your post today on this website about your sighting of UFO/Fireball/meteor looking objects seen December 24, 2010. I’d also seen the same thing while driving home last night at approximately 7:15pm in Hershey, PA. We are on the same time zone, so this very strange to see the same things yet at different times.

If it was a meteor space junk, what are the odds that we would see the same exact objects. Only explanation I can assume is some sort of ET activity. I did report to MUFON last night after I’d gotten home, not sure if the report had been completely submitted, though I think it went through.

Please let me know if you come across any information in regards to what these objects could have been. The whole "sky-divers with flares" theory is really getting old now. Very weird how so many in various places are seeing similar things in the sky. Thanks for your time.

Unknown Lights Seen Traveling Highway Through The State Of New York

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were on our way back home to Pennsylvania from Mass. We were somewhere in New York when I noticed bright lights in the sky. My brother, then boyfriend noticed it as well.

There were like 3 to 5 light that then turned into 1 bright light. It then turned into the same lights in a triangular form and started flying over the car. There were like 3 or 4 in the sky at this time doing the same thing. Changing forms then turning into 1 bright light then changing again! It was amazing. There’s no way these things were planes as there was no noise coming from these things what so ever.

Unknown Object Filmed Over Sweetwater Wyoming (Pictures)

Date: September 2009

Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Second event, I was able to get some pictures of this from my bedroom window here at home, blurry though. They have started what is called Boom Town here, Sept, of 2009 at about 9:00pm again it is a large display of fire works at night and during the day they try to out do each other in noise, I mean rattle your house and break window types of explosion.

I have complained as many others have, but money and the town's powers refuse to listen, and so the beat goes on.

I was up in my west bedroom window looking out towards the fair grounds, which is about a half mile away, but I sit high up on a hill and except for some trees, I can almost look down into the fair ground area.

A red Light caught my attention just west of me and at an altitude I'm not sure, but I say not much over a thousand feet.

The one thing I noticed was the speed, to slow for a fixed wing aircraft and so I thought maybe a chopper, there is a hospital close and there Mercy flights come in to go to the hospital just due North of me.

So I opened the window to listen for noise or to see any strobe or ID lights, none, the light was coming towards my position and in a circular pattern.

I ran down and got my camera and managed to get a few quick pictures as it headed in a N.E. pattern and just seemed to disappear.

At that time I thought it was gone, but within an hour, I was keeping my eye' open for a possible second viewing, and it appeared again, like out of nowhere from the West again at about the same position, and seemed like it was watching the fireworks, or was drawn by the large explosions, hard to say, but I did get a couple more pictures even though they where blurry.

It looks like more than one red light on one object or more than one object, but it almost seemed to be circling the fair grounds, because it did the same flight path, and disappeared to the N.E.. same slow speed that only a chopper could fly at and stay airborne.

I was looking at the dates and it was 2008 around 9:00pm. hope you can enhance these and make them out better.

I may have been wrong on the dates and times, that should show up with the pictures.

Unknown String Like Material Over Downtown London Ohio ?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I didn't see a UFO, but what I saw was vey strange and I simply can’t explain it.

Fri November 12, 2010, between 4:30pm and 5:00pm. I was sitting in the car waiting for my daughter and granddaughters in downtown London, Ohio. I was looking across the street at the widows, when what looked like the string of a balloon floated across the street from my side to the other at an angle. There was a reflection on the string and it was slightly curved. It didn't have a slant as if it were being dragged behind a balloon or attached to a building, nor was there anything floating above it.

It was long, but I didn't see the top or the bottom of the string. It didn't seem to touch the ground and there was very little breeze. It was odd and has stuck with me. I tried to research this bit found nothing.

Red And Unknown Hovering White Light Observed Over Mason Ohio

Date: September 19, 2010

Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

I'm writing to also confirm I seen the same red light shortly after I began my night shift (9:00pm). At times the light indeed appeared to sit idle. I did a security patrol at 9:15 pm and the patrol took ten minutes and the red light appeared to sit there or move slowly farther away from the guard shack.

The light then appeared from my position to move towards the bright star (later informed to be Jupiter) and the moon at a slow but steady pace until getting out of range. It was indeed a strange light to say the least, but this is the second such sighting in Mason, Ohio for me in the past couple weeks.

There was also a low flying bright white light a week ago that flew over the guard shack as well after hovering over Mason for at least ten minutes. At first I thought it had to be a helicopter but then I realized had it been a helicopter flying that low I would have heard it's propellers.

 I didn't hear anything and considering it was over night (after 3:00am) I should have been able to hear a helicopter flying that low as I have in the past flying much higher.

Just wanted to add to the story my confirmation of both the red light in the sky and another object seen with in the past week to ten days. Later.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Very weird Military ? I do not believe in UFO's, but not sure what this is, maybe military is my guess. I was out taking pictures with my new camera last night and captured these weird lights, this is not a telephone wire which is what I first thought.

I did not notice it with my eyes, I was just playing with the different light adjustments on my new camera and captured it.

My camera was on a tripod and very still so it is defiantly not motion blur. Please tell me what you think it may be, and let me know if you post it on your site. Unknown Lights Seen Over Springboro Ohio

Date: September 11, 2010

Time: Evening.

Hi, my name is (name removed) and I saw your article online for the sighting is Springboro, Ohio. Last night I was driving with my friend coming back form BW3's in Springboro and she said, "do you see those lights?" I didn't see them until she finally pointed them out to me and I saw them.

They looked almost like little portions of clouds just floating around really, really fast. At first I thought they were just spot lights from somewhere, but they were to faint and they were not going in a specific pattern. They were just swarming around and around and they started to grow in numbers and when we continued to go down the road and past the deli, they were always next to us.

I don't know what exactly they were, but they were defiantly not spotlights, because they were to faint to be and they didn't have a pattern.
