Supporters of peace in Nova Scotia will have a unique opportunity to meet and learn more about a US war resister in Canada. Chuck Wiley, a 17-year veteran of the US Navy, will be speaking in several Nova Scotia locations, on a tour organized by the Halifax Peace Coalition and sponsored by several local groups.
Chuck's story is extremely compelling and affects everyone who hears it in a profound way. I can't tell you how many times I and other campaigners have heard people say their minds were opened - or changed - by hearing Chuck speak.
If you live in Nova Scotia, I hope you'll attend one or more of these events; if you have friends who might be interested, I encourage you to send them this information.
The full list of Chuck's tour dates can also be found on the websites of the War Resister Support Campaign and the Halifax Peace Coalition, and on this Facebook page.
