Date: December 5, 2010
Time: 5:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Merritt Island Florida.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Beams of light, orb.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: The object is hard to explain, but has the shape of a meteor falling to earth. When these pictures were taken, the object was not moving.

Larger View: Click on the picture at the left for large view.

The strangeness is the detail to the object on one of the pictures. It looks as if the parallel beams fade into the sky and can be seen faintly when looking at the picture with inverse colors.

Hey I don’t want to sound crazy or anything, but yesterday around 7:00pm I was leaving my fathers house in Patchogue and driving on the Sunrise Highway going west towards Bay Shore. Around the exit for Islip avenue, I noticed something rather large in the sky, very long and narrow with blinking red lights similar to an airplane northwest of sunrise highway, however this was not an airplane.

It was either moving very slowly or not at all. I glanced around the sky to see something comparatively in size, only to see actual airplanes with their traditional red and blue lights. But these were nowhere close to the size. Here's where it gets weird. After going home and showering I left to go to the grocery store only to see the same object I had seen before right above the trees in the distance. It wasn’t close at all, but still seemed really large.

Tonight I was visiting a haunted house in Bayville, Long Island.

My family and I were in the parking lot near the Long Island sound at 10:30pm and saw exactly what you have described, but it was only one flame. My uncle got his binoculars out and zoomed in, it seemed like several flames together, but at that point it was getting higher and almost beginning to disappear behind the clouds.

When we first saw it, it was big- coming towards us- then changed paths. We asked ourselves if it was a plane on fire, but no because it wasn't descending. Perhaps from a hot air balloon, but it was moving at such a high rate of speed. We don't know what it was, but by the time it disappeared there was a crowd of about thirty people staring at it. Then up, above the clouds it went.

As soon as I got home I Google searched "fire in the sky over Long Island" and these reports came up.

I'm beginning to believe it is not a single or strange happening. Best.

Location of Sighting: Dry Bridge Rd North Kingstown.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was laying in bed one night watching TV, when out of the corner of my eye and out the window was a very bright light. And it seemed to move away in seconds back up into the sky. I lay there watching it, not really sure of what I was seeing.

It moved in a triangle pattern as if it was going from star to star. Now where I live there are turf farms all around me, and it's like a airplane highway. So I assure you I know what airplane lights look like at night and I've seen enough of them in the 13 years that I've lived here. This was no airplane or satellite.

Time: After 9:00 p.m.

On Sunday, September 19th, 2010, shortly after 9:00pm, my husband called for me to look at a strange, bright red light in the sky. From our perspective on Kings Mills Road in Mason, it appeared to be over Kings Island.

It was a steady bright red. It traveled towards us (west) for about 2 minutes, but not in a straight line. It seemed to slightly zigzag. At first we speculated it might be a helicopter because of the erratic flight pattern, but there were no navigational lights and the red light was not blinking.

It definitely was not a plane. It became stationary, with no change in size or brightness for about 10 minutes. I got our neighbors, one of whom worked for GE Aircraft Division and he confirmed our belief, it was not a plane or helicopter. A small plane flew beneath it, and we could tell from the lights of the plane that the red object was much higher up. After about 10 minutes, it appeared to be getting smaller.

It seemed as though it was receding vertically into space. It appeared to blink occasionally, but we believe the blinking effect was caused as it passed through the very high, very thin cloud layer. I checked the local news reports for the next few days and have heard nothing mentioned. Could it have been the launching of a satellite? It definitely was nothing from nature. If anyone knows what it was, please let us know!

Date: August 1999
Time: Evening.

Hello Brian, My wife and I saw a (glowing - hard to describe) orange ball heading north in the direction of Lake Ontario around 1999. We were in our back yard and it was a clear calm August night.

The object did not make any sound whatsoever and it appeared somewhat low in the sky maybe, 500 - 1000 feet. It moved at a moderate rate (slightly faster than the speed of a commercial aircraft) from south beyond the view of the roof of our home to within sight, directly overhead then north until over the horizon. The entire incident lasted probably 1-2 minutes.

I was somewhat aware of the reports of orbs that were being seen over Lake Ontario at the time and that is what led me to believe that may have been where the object was heading. We both remember it well and both are 100% certain it was not a plane or meteor or balloon or any other typical object you could mistake for a ball of light.

This object was moving at a fixed altitude and rate of speed and was not like anything I have ever seen before or since. I have seen videos of other sightings of orange orbs that look somewhat like what we saw, however, the object we saw was much clearer than anything I have seen in any video!

I attest that this is a true account of what we saw and I would be willing to take a lie detector test to prove it! I only wish I would have had a video recorder to capture the object for this was truly a remarkable event.

I work at Kings Island in the Rides department. As I was leaving one of the rides around 9:30 one of our maintenance guys told me that he had seen a UFO. I asked him to point it out for me and so he pointed to the sky between the moon and what he said was Jupiter.

He was unable to find what he saw, but after a few minutes of looking I spotted the light. We watched it for another 5 minutes or so. The light seemed as if it was not moving. It looked as if the light was blinking at an odd interval.

We thought the clouds might have been moving in front of it. When I got back to the office that night about 30 other people I worked with were talking about the same light. My boss had actually tried to film it with his cell phone, but the low quality made it impossible to pick up.

We observed a (stationary) red light in the sky tonight about 9:00pm when we were at King's Island in Mason, Ohio. We watched the International Space Station about 2-3 weeks ago and when we saw this red light, we couldn't figure out what it could be, so I got online to try to find the answer. What was it?
