Date: March 18, 2011
Time: 8:22 p.m.

Hi, last night, (March 18th, 2011 - 8:22pm) my husband and I saw 6 orange glowing lights in the southern sky moving (floating) slowly in a southwesterly direction. At first we thought they were helicopters, but we noticed there was absolutely no noise and they were in an odd formation.

We just watched them float and glow like candles and then they each burned out one by one and totally disappeared in the sky.

It was so eerie! We've never seen anything like that before. I'm glad my husband saw it because he would have never believed me!

Date: March 10, 2011
Time: Between 11:40 p.m. - 11:50 p.m.

I believe I saw this very same object tonight March 10, 2011, between 11:40-11:50 pm off Hwy 8 coming out of Leesville, LA. (USA ) It was near the airport, but beyond it in the distance, to the east/north east. At first I thought it was the moon, but it was way to large to be the moon. The shape was crescent, it was cupped at the bottom and it was a little irregular shaped, like flaming or glowing.

Maybe not perfectly rounded on the bottom half, it kind of made a little point. I only saw this object for a few seconds, but I am positive I saw it! I tried to get a better look at it, but never saw it again. A mile or two down the road, I decided to turn around and go back to see if I could get a better view. I drove back and it was gone. There was no moon, no object anywhere.

I know I saw something big, it left me with a really strange feeling. Hopefully I wasn't the only one to see it. I wanted to call the airport and ask about it, but I just think they would think me a whack-o.

This large reddish glowing horizontal crescent 'thing' was absolutely huge. I wish I had stopped when I first saw it.

When I got home I had to check on the phase of the moon, it was not the moon according to the chart, and the crescent was not vertical as the chart posted. I do not know what I saw, but I did see something strange tonight.

When I read your post I just know we must have seen the same thing. I am totally serious about seeing this, but I do not want my name plastered around because people would think me a nut. I just thought it was important enough to let some one know I saw it!
Very sincerely,

Date: 1987 – 1988-ish
Time: Evening.

I was turning left onto Orangewood Street from Yuclid. After I turned I noticed a large green glowing disc shaped UFO hovering in one spot over the distant trees to my left that was the property of a elementary school. As I noticed it, I immediately started crying and pulled over to the curb, unable to drive and shaking profusely. I immediately called 911 and they told me to call the news.

While still shaken up, I reported to the news and they told me dozens of calls had come in already with the same description. While I was talking to the news person, I was watching it and I was amazed at how the green glow was radiating around the UFO much like if you took a paint brush and drew a circle around it, then took a dry brush and fanned out the wet paint to where it looked spikey for lack of a better word.

Then it took off like the speed of light, and went to the right of where it was, or say it went northeast faster then I could count, one, two. It was as fast as a shooting star. The size of it from my perspective was if I put my fingers out to measure it from my eye was around 5 to 6 inches wide. I don't know exactly how far it was from me, but it gave me the feeling it was as big as an airplane.

It was greyish, but it was evening. I was one of the only times in my life that I was brought to my knees in awe. I knew immediately when I saw it, my brain said, it’s a UFO! Never in my life have I ever seen anything like it, accept on UFO sighting websites. This is the first time I have reported it, besides with the news.

Date: February 7, 2011
Time: 6:50-7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: San Antonio Texas.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1 or two (see details).
Shape of Objects: Spherical orbs.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving down eastbound Loop 1604 in San Antonio when I saw two brightly glowing orbs hovering about 10-15 miles in front of me. Altitude was about 500 feet from what I could guess. The objects remained close together throughout the duration of the sighting, pulsating slowly in perfect rhythm.

At first I thought they were helicopters or airplanes (S.A. has several military bases and an active hospital), but as I got closer to them I didn't notice the usual "outline" that I usually see when I spot helicopters/planes at night. I continued to watch them until I approached the northeast portion of 1604 (near Universal City) when they floated behind me and out of sight.

Time: 10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Marietta Georgia.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of Objects: 15 – 16.
Shape of Objects: Circular.

The Vike Factor Note: What the witnesses saw were Chinese/Wish Lanterns for sure.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was cloudy there were 15 or 16 glowing balls of light floating silently and in a formation. The light was different. I looked through my binoculars and I don't think they were any kind of known aircraft.

They seem to have flown over the historic Marietta square, and at the same altitude as planes heading towards Dobbins. My phone was dying and I couldn't find my camera, but there were 5 people, 2 adults who saw this. I cant believe that I think that no many people saw this.

Date: December 31, 2010
Time: Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: New Palestine, Indiana
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round ball.

Hi my name is (name removed) and I live in New Palestine, Indiana which is down the road from Greenfield, Indiana. I was reading a post regarding Greenfield residents seeing a red and pink ball of light.

Anyways on December 31, 2010 between 10:30 pm and 11:30 pm I was standing outside with a friend of mine waiting on my husband to get home when I noticed a strange red glowing ball of light that had what looked like a smaller pink glowing light within it.

It was really strange looking. I am 100% sure it wasn't any type of firework display. I did not notice any sound coming from it. I live close to Indianapolis airport and I know what a plane looks and sounds like and this was absolutely no plane. It was the brightness and the large size of the glowing reddish/pink ball of light that caught by eye.

As soon as I saw it, I watched it for a couple minutes and got my friends attention and he was able to see it too. We are not sure what happened to it because after a couple minutes of staring at it, it started moving to the north going behind some trees and disappeared. We ran to get a better view of it, but it was nowhere to be seen. It completely disappeared. Thank you.

From the Vike Factor archives (Brian Vike) http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Date: October 11, 1989 could feel the intensity of the static field intensify
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

On the night of 11 October 1989, I left Kewanee, Illinois and was driving home after a meeting. I was alone and driving west on IL route 81. At a few minutes after 9:00pm I was approximately 4 miles west of Kewanee on a section of route 81 running north (near the intersection of Tower Road) On the right, east is hills and broken timber/pasture and on the left, west are flat open tilled farm fields. I would have been traveling north.

I suddenly noticed a red (red/orange) flashing light. At the time, I thought an emergency vehicle or deputy sheriff had suddenly come up behind me. This happened without warning and I thought the vehicle had approached me, possibly with no headlights on, or was so close I could not see the headlights.

Here, I should elaborate and mention that I had just recently purchased a new (1989) Ford F-150 pickup truck and had a fiberglass 'topper' installed that day. I was unfamiliar with the somewhat obstructed field of view and the still new vehicle. I had not been drinking or using any drugs. I do recall being somewhat fatigued after a long and busy day. I slowed and moved over to the shoulder of the road.

As I came to a stop on the shoulder, I was still thinking I was being pulled over for some reason. I then realized the red or red/orange light was reflecting in the space between the back window of the truck and the topper. I shut the engine off at this point thinking I had some kind of electrical problem with some lights on the new and unfamiliar truck topper. I shut the engine off and opened the drivers door, at about the same moment I realized the light was also reflected on the hood of the truck.

I stepped out of the open drivers door to stand on the ground and realized that a large glowing sphere was positioned almost directly overhead. I estimated the object to be approximately 50 – 70 feet above ground and approximately 20 – 25 feet in diameter. It was smooth and glassy appearing on its surface, which was most noticeable between the brighter intensity pulses. I want to emphasize that these 'pulses' were not flashes as in 'on-off,' but were pulsations of brighter-dimmer, never shutting off completely.

I also noticed a strong definite static field that increased in unison with the pulses of brighter light. I could not visualize the surface of the object when the light pulses were at peak intensity. During the less intense/dim phase of the light pulses, the surface was clearly visible and totally featureless from my point of view.

The surface was very smooth and glass-like transparent and within appeared a swirling, smoky or viscous liquid type substance against the inner surface. From what was visible to me, I would insist this object was a perfect globe or sphere and emitted light from its entire outside surface.

Over the next 1-2 minutes the quality and duration of the bright/dim light cycle changed to a longer bright and shorter dim but the frequency of the light cycle seemed constant. It did not pulse faster, just longer and brighter pulses with shorter dim intervals until it approached constant bright 'On'. I hope I can make this clearly understood. I could feel the intensity of the static field intensify also. I did not move from my position next to the truck between the open door and cab.

I had the feeling that something was going to happen with the changes in the light emissions and static field, but did not know what to expect.

When the light pulses became a constant 'On', the object very suddenly shot west, with a departure so rapid that there was a vacuum 'POP'. I can only describe it as being like a huge cork violently pulled from a bottle. I was aware of no noise prior to this moment. The object stopped very suddenly in the western sky for a few seconds (3-5 miles away?) then seemed to change directions approximately 90 degrees to due north for a couple miles, stopping suddenly again for only a moment then disappearing to the western horizon.

My next recollection was the realization that I was sitting in my parked truck in my back yard (approximately 2 miles north of the site described) with the truck pointing west and watching the western sky where the object disappeared. This was not an area where I would typically park. I walked into the house a few minutes before 11:00pm so I was evidently in the truck for some time.

It was a very pleasant evening both temperature and weather and I recall an overall feeling of 'stunned amazement'. I do not recall ever feeling fear or apprehension. I realize that some time is unaccounted for, but I have attributed that to some kind of emotional shock. I have remained in excellent health.

Date: December 31, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Hudson, Florida.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Unknown, light ball, no shape of object discerned.

The Vike Factor Note: I asked the witness about the first names only and I was told I could leave the names in the report.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: UFO sighting report, witness descriptions, 12/31/10

These witness statements were written on January 3rd, 2011, three days after the sighting described.

Location: Hudson, Florida, Near New Port Richey. U.S. 19 corridor, less than a mile from the Gulf of Mexico.

Time: Approximately 9:30pm
Date: 12/31/10

Conditions: Full dark, with a few very high thin clouds to our northwest, over the Gulf. There were fireworks at low altitude, and ground lights along the U.S. 19 corridor. No other aircraft were seen during the sighting.

Witnesses:
Greg, age 46
Casie, age 22
Anita, age 47

Description- Anita:

Orange/red glow of light moving from southeast to northwest. As it got closer, the single glow of light was obviously in more of a pattern of several lights moving together. No sound. It moved at the same rate of speed until it was no longer visible in the northwest.

Report-Anita:

I noticed a glow of light in the sky much larger than the stars. It was moving steadily NW and at a constant, rapid speed. It was not hovering or floating. The color is best described as the same as the tip of a lit cigarette, orange/red. As I watched it approaching, still at the same altitude, it was not just one light, but several, forming a specific, uniform pattern (Anita describes a group of twelve small lights, forming an elongated ellipse like this () ). I watched it until it passed over my house, and out of my line of sight, then ran to the front of the house, to watch it continue it’s unwavering flight to the northwest. I watched it until it was no longer visible. The entire sighting took place in about a minute to a minute and a half.

Impression-Anita:

I have seen luminaries released by people on the ground, and this was not that. It was not floating. It moved steadily and rapidly in a straight path. I was listening for any engine sound, but heard nothing. I have seen several things in the night sky, and could always categorize their origin. This was unique, in my experience, in it’s movement, pattern, and color.

Description and report-Casie:

The object appeared to be red/orange. It was neither ascending or descending, and moved very rapidly in a straight line toward U.S.19 and Hudson Beach on the Gulf of Mexico. It made no sound. It appeared to be made of or powered by fire, with no smoke. It did not appear to be moving with the wind, which was from the east. It’s movement was direct, and did not vary with the wind.

Description-Greg:

Single, flickering red/orange light. Not intensely bright. It moved at an apparent constant speed, altitude, and bearing. It was visible for one minute at most, and in that time moved across about 160 degrees of our night sky, from southeast to northwest. It faded from view, possibly obscured by some high thin clouds over the Gulf of Mexico. As the light moved almost directly overhead, it seemed to change from a ‘dot’ to an elongated ellipse, with rounded points at the sides. It had the appearance of a glowing cigarette ‘cherry’…Even the color resembled a burning coal or ember. I could see no ‘under glow’ against a solid body, nor could I discern any blocking out of stars and planets it flew past. There was no sound.

Report-Greg:

While facing southeastward in our backyard, we noticed a vivid red/orange light approaching from the southeast, at what seemed to be a constant altitude and speed. It did not seem anomalous at first. As it came more nearly overhead, I realized it was not a rising firework shell. It did not have any red, green or white aircraft lights. There was no ‘under glow’ from the numerous bright ground lights along the U.S. 19 corridor ( we are very close to a Wal-Mart and several other large retail centers.) It did not appear to have any suspending structure like a balloon or luminaire. There was no ‘tail’, and it was not moving as fast as any meteors I have ever seen. There was no sound.

When I realized all of this, I ran into the house to douse the outside security light, in hopes of seen the object more clearly. In more complete darkness, I still could not discern any larger structure, or blocking of stars it passed. As it began to move over the house, we ran through the house to the front yard. We kept the object in sight until it faded from view to our northwest, possible obscured by high thin clouds over the Gulf, or simply by other light in the night sky.

Impressions (Greg):

It made no sound. No other aircraft were visible near the object (we are in a fairly busy air traffic area, thirty miles north of Tampa/St. Petersburg). Unable to judge height, but here, at night, we are often able to see the actual shape of aircraft under 1000 feet due to bright ground lights. The color and intensity reminded me of the glowing tip of a cigarette. I cannot be certain of object altitude or speed…But from hundreds of night sky observations, it seemed very high…Over 2000 feet, which gave me the impression of aircraft speed or greater. I feel that if it had been lower, and of solid construction, we would have been able to make out a shape, or heard sounds of a propulsion system.

My impressions are based on the speed, and the lack of sound. It covered 160 degrees of our sky in under a minute…A powered aircraft, moving that far that fast, at low altitude, would have made sound…So my feeling is that it was either very high, and moving at very great speed, or low, and not normally powered.

Possible explanations (Greg):

High altitude weather balloon with suspended light- Our wind at sea level was from the east. If a balloon were launched to our southeast, was the wind at altitude fast enough to give them impression of the object’s high speed?

Orbital object: Our neighbor saw a light, exactly as we described, about two hours after our sighting. He reported to us that it moved in the same way, at the same heading as what we saw. Could this indicate a repeating orbital movement of a satellite?

As I understand from reading in the days that followed, there were several reports of multiple objects, some separated by minutes or hours throughout the night.

A few notes from Greg:

1) I spent most of the rest of the night looking at Google News for other reports, and found the Vike blog via Google search for ‘Florida UFO 12/13/10’. During the night, several other reports very similar to ours came in. There is some variance, including the multiple object sightings, and the different reported directions of the object(s) But there is enough similarity to make me think we were part of a ‘flap’.

2) In 1973, while living in Botswana as a child, I had a sighting of anomalous lights in the sky, very different from what we saw in December. That sighting was witnessed by over forty people, and may be in the MUFON database (I filed a report on it in 2004). In all the years since, I have been an avid night sky watcher, in hopes of seeing something remarkable again. I had pretty much given up hope that I ever would, and then, BAM.

3) Casie is my daughter, and this was the first time she had ever seen anything like this.

4) None of us were under the influence, I have not had a drink since the mid 80s.

5) We told our neighbor what we saw. Shortly after midnight, he knocked on our door to tell us he had just seen the same thing. I was very skeptical, but reading through the other reports from Florida, it seems several others had multiple sightings that night.

Report gathered by Greg, Word Doc created 1/18/11.

Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Soldotna, Alaska.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: ?
Shape of Objects: 2 very round reddish lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were inside watching TV. It was a fairly clear night and very dark out. He got up to get a drink of water and looked out the window and saw two very bright, large, reddish glowing lights out the window. We turned out the lights in the house to watch, and for about 5 minutes saw them seemingly sit in the same position.

They appeared fairly close and looked like the headlights of a large truck coming toward us, though they did not appear to move, they stayed the same distance apart and above the ground.

We live out in the country and the lights looked like they were above and a bit before, the only neighbor below us. (Our house is on a hill.)

We went to the upper level of the house to get a better look and they remained in the same spot. We opened the window to listen, but no sound at all.

At this point I raised the binoculars I had managed to find and no sooner did, than the lights just blinked out. Like a light switch being thrown.

There is nothing in that area to produce such a light. They did not act like flares.

Time: 11:52 p.m.

St. Petersburg, FL- New Years Eve 2010, at 11:52pm, we saw the first glowing orange light moving from SE to NW. Very steady pace, no noise, no tail. About 3 minutes later, a formation of 3 passed on the same path. A few minutes that, two additional lights passed moving in the same direction, only slightly west of the original ones.

There were several more following the original path over the course of about 15 minutes. Of the several we saw, two “burned out” while in view, but all of the others moved in a NW direction until out of sight. Very odd, not sure the Chinese lantern makes sense, but nothing else does either.

Hi my name is (name removed), I too saw those lights in the sky. My three friends and I were driving and I saw it immediately. My friends didn't believe me then they saw the three floating lights in a triangular form. I thought right away it was extra terrestrials.

I've read a lot about sightings and the existence of aliens, so that was the first thing that came to mind. Especially the three glowing lights just hovering there, and suddenly disappearing. I know of a few other people seeing them as well.

Date: Between 2001 and 2002
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Hello Brian, this reply is in regards to the orange light balls you have seen. My name is (name removed) and I have encountered theses orbs 3 times and below I will tell you of the one the most similar to your own.

In between 2001 and 2002 I saw a red-orange sphere fly silently over me in the woods in Jupiter Florida.

After work sometimes when we got paid some of us who worked construction would go down to one of a small number of spots in the woods to drink beer and talk together before going home. One night around 10:00pm while we were all just hanging out I got up and excused myself to go take a pee.

Well I walked around the corner perhaps 100 or so feet, relieved myself in a large open grassy area spread out in the open. Afterwards I thought it would be nice to lay down in the middle of this large open grassy field and just look at the clear open sky after a hard day of construction.

Not long after I had laid down, perhaps 5 or so minutes, when this large orange red globe of glowing light comes out from over the top of the trees to the left of me flying east to west . This red-orange glowing ball made not a sound and flew no faster then 5 to 8 MPH! This thing went from the top of the far left set of trees to the right side set of trees before I lost sight of it.

I got up and went back to my group expecting my work mates to be talking all about what had just happened but they were carrying on like before with no notice of what I had just experienced . I just stood their unbelieving that these folks who were only a few 100 of feet away from me had not seen anything.

To this day I never mentioned what took place that night to any of the guys and the only thing I can think of was that this big glowing ball was flying so close to the tops of the trees for anyone but me to see. Another possibility I know to exist is they can disappear and then reappear when they want. I had a 3 to 5 foot white ball of solid light to this to me in Jupiter Farms around 4:00am one morning.

The smaller orb was flying all about my roof over my office and bedroom area when I pulled up from the end of a nights work. I got out of my van and saw it soaring in silence as free as a bird until it seemed to spot me. It then took off over the tree tops that then surrounded the entire property. I remained standing in the same place looking at where this ball of white light had just flew over, it then came back over the same place it had left.

Standing there by myself this thing now comes right at me then flies down over my head no further then 15 feet! As it passed me it slowly began to disappear until I could no longer see it . This occurred around one year after I saw the red-orange fire ball.

For what it's worth please know you are not alone and that there are many of us who have had seen similar things happen. Sincerely.

My father-in-law and I were sitting out back just around 12:45am in the Deltona area and out of the corner of my eye I noticed a very bright and vivid orange glow in the sky traveling extremely fast. At first we figured maybe it's a burning ember from some fireworks. But we figured it would fade away.

It never did it just started moving faster and stayed bright. It was moving much faster than any plane I have seen in my time with the military. Maybe it was a meteor, but more than likely it was some sort of UFO. Either way I was freaked out for most of the night.

We were having a New Year's Eve party at our home in The Villages, FL, and had ventured to the back yard and saw several orange glowing globes (or balls) coming from the direction of Cape Canaveral.

They followed each other and dissipated into the distance. We have photos in our camera which shows the image, but we will enhance on our computer. The first sighting was of about 6 of them. Then they kept coming in pairs or individually. It was the same time that you mentioned, around 8:45 to 9:00. There was no noise at all. Have you received any info?

Last night (December 31st) in Boise, Id, my boyfriend and I watched an orange glowing object in the sky around 10:15 PM. It was large and moving. We thought it might be a plane, but there were no flashing lights, no green or red colors. It also was silent.

It stopped, then hovered in one spot for a few moments, then without moving away from that spot, it slowly became more faint until it completely disappeared. It took about 3 - 4 minutes from the time we spotted it until it disappeared.

Also, I live in the north end of town which is very close to downtown.

Hi, My name is (removed). I was up at my parents house in Hudson on 12/31/10 for a New Years party. We all saw the UFO that was described online, we are up off Hicks Rd in the Lakewood Acres area. This ship flew right over head of us and was quite low in altitude. It was quiet as can be, no chemtrails whatsoever. The craft appeared round and was glowing orange/red.

It had a flame in the center on the bottom, at least it appeared to be a flame, at first glance it looked like something was on fire. Then I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I snapped a photo with my camera phone, although the image looks like crap. All you can see in the image is a light. I'd be happy to send it if you would like, but it doesn't appear to be worth much.

It was heading due west from our home. It would make sense for someone to see it near Wal-Mart on US 19 near beacon woods. There were about 9 of us that witnessed it. It makes me happy that other people saw the same thing we did in a further part of the city. I don't feel so crazy. Thanks.

Time: Just after midnight.

At midnight I let my dogs outside and I looked over to the west and I saw a very large red glowing star or so I thought. It began to grow 3 times it size and turned even brighter red. I yelled for my son and his friend to come outside, and then I saw a smaller object start to lower itself out from under the large red object.

As soon as the round small craft was out of my vision, the larger one become very large and bright and then it went. Maybe 1 second later, it was dimly lit and then it became bright and oblong in shape and then disappeared. This didn't make any noise and it was very low, it was overcast and it was well below the clouds. Thank you and please contact me. This scared me so much that I felt like throwing up. (name removed) Port Angeles, Washington.

My first sighting of this sort in my life. I was driving west in Coral Springs (Northwest Broward County) we saw 4 orange glow lights about the size of a very large star. They moved in various directions.

Two seemed to move toward each other and all of them in right angles only. When we got out of the car only one object was remained and it began to disappear behind the clouds. Now I read that many other sighting like this have been occurring in the world this year.
