Dramatic Aviation Rescue

Shortly after 1:00 pm on May 31, 2009, the United States Park Police Aviation Section responded to the Occoquan River Dam to assist Prince William County Fire Department with a hoist rescue.

When the motor on a boat became disabled, two fishermen on the river abandoned their boat as it was being swept towards the dam. The seventy two foot drop over the dam is described by one rescuer as, “Definitely fatal.” The unmanned boat was swept over the dam and dropped seventy two feet.

The two fishermen grabbed onto a pole affixed to the top of the dam. Fairfax County Police and United States Park Police Aviation effected a rescue.

United States Park Police Eagle 1 with Sgt. Kevin Chittick as Pilot in Command and Sgt. Ken Burchell as Co-Pilot approached the scene. Rescue Technicians Sgt. Mark Varanelli and Officer David Hurley prepared the hoist.

One fisherman was pulled to the shore by the Fairfax Police Helicopter. The other fisherman was rapidly approaching the dam. The second fisherman was only a few feet from being swept over the dam when the United States Park Police Aviation Officers hoisted him to safety.

Intro

I've decided to start this blog series because I find so many completely stupid, ignorant, and or ugly comments from prohibitionist. Their arguments are usually wrong and based on complete lies or totally made up. I display these comments from prohibitionist idiots for two reasons: Laughter and Perspective. When it's some low-level idiot, it's best to just laugh at them and have fun at their expense. When it's a high-level idiot, we should be concerned because they give ammo to other idiots who don't know any better.

Some people know that they're lying but they continue to lie because it's all they have left. A good example of this is John P. Walters, the former drug czar who continues to lie about marijuana. He should have retired and just left things alone. But, he fights this crusade to justify his years of harm against American citizens.

Some people are just ignorant. The only thing wrong with ignorance is when people don't want to cure it. You cure ignorance by getting the truth. However, there are people out there who aren't interested in the truth about anything. They are stupid. An example of a stupid person is the pastor of a church who insists that marijuana is bad. What "knowledge" do they have? None, outside of the twisted and perverted interpretations of the Bible.
Some people are just plain dumb. Their arguments aren't based on anything real whatsoever. Their logic is completely flawed. They come to conclusions about marijuana out of thin air, literally. Since this is the first installment of Prohibitionist Idiots, I've got a great example for you!

This prohibitionist idiot has been found via a Huffington Post article: Drug Czar's Pot-Potency Claims Go Up In Smoke. Check it out:

The initial comment is simply comparing the addiction potential between alcohol and marijuana. The person, Woodcut, seems to be someone who understands addiction because he admits to his own 15-year long alcoholism. I would go so far as to consider him an authority on addiction. This is someone you can take their word over others. He also uses marijuana which is not addictive. His comparison would have any intelligent individual conclude that alcohol, a freely available substance, is more addictive than marijuana.

What's so hard to understand about that?

Obviously, it's difficult for the prohibitionist idiot. Our PI of the moment, SharonWantsToTalk, has tried to imply that because the person knows how much marijuana he has and he knows the California law, he must be addicted. This is how this person has chosen to counter the addiction argument.

How does one extrapolate such a conclusion with such non-evidence? According to her "logic", licensed drivers are all addicted to driving because they keep track of their fuel, antifreeze, and oil levels and know what to do when they approach a red octagon with the word "STOP" in white lettering. I wonder if they have support groups for those addicted to responsible driving.

2009 US Mint Bags and Rolls Sales Figures

Some of this year's most popular US Mint products have been bags and rolls of circulating coins. The popularity of the bags and rolls is being driven by a number of factors.

Primarily, circulating coins have much lower mintages for 2009 compared to prior years. In some cases final mintages are the lowest levels seen in more than 40 years. Circulating coins have become much more difficult to obtain. In the past, with a little bit of effort, uncirculated rolls of most denominations could be located at banks and exchanged for face value. This year finding coins for face value through the normal distribution channels have proven much more difficult.

These factors got the ball rolling, but the US Mint's offerings have taken on a life of their own. Secondary market prices for the US Mint issued bags and rolls of coins carry premiums far above those for generic unwrapped rolls. The US Mint's early 2009 bags and rolls sold out early and had short production runs, which caught many collectors off guard. Prices quickly increased for the sold out products. The profit potential has attracted many buyers to the newer releases.

In the past, I have not written any posts focused on the sales figures for bags and rolls, but with the increased interest in the products, I felt the numbers were worth a look. Listed below are the sales figures for the US Mint's 2009 bags and rolls offerings. The figures are the last reported mint statistics from Numismaster. Lines which appear in italics are no longer available at the US Mint. Figures for Guam Quarter bags and rolls are not yet available.

The earliest releases for the Birthplace Lincoln Cents, William Henry Harrison Dollars, and District of Columbia Quarters had slow sales and were only available for a brief time. After the sell outs, prices increased by many multiples on the secondary market.

Recently, the Birthplace Lincoln Cent Two Roll Sets have sold on eBay for around $65 to $75, compared to the offering price of $8.95. The William Henry Harrison Rolls have sold for over $100 for Denver rolls and over $200 for Philadelphia rolls compared to the offering price of $35.95. The District of Columbia two roll sets and 100-coin bags have sold for prices ranging from $60 to $100 compared to offering price of $32.95.

People have definitely noticed these prices and began ordering the newer releases in larger quantity. The John Tyler Presidential Dollar rolls went on sale less than 10 days ago and have sales already approaching the levels of the entire William Henry Harrison sales. The US Mint has also noticed the high demand for bags and rolls and are apparently increasing the number available. The Formative Years Lincoln Cent rolls have already recorded more than doubled the sales of the prior release and continue to be available.

If you are speculating on some of the current bags and rolls offerings take note of the increased orders and increased production runs, which may keep secondary market prices in check even after the eventual sell outs.

Very often, even life's most proudest and happiest moments can be bitter sweet, filled with as many tears as they are with smiles and laughter, with as much sadness and remorse for words unspoken as they are with feelings of pride and joy over a loved one's accomplishments, and they can often cause one to look back, remembering days and moments long past while reminding one of just how many years they have amassed under their belts. This weekend will be just one of those moments for me.

I will be leaving early tomorrow morning, May 29th, for Dover, Delaware to attend the high school graduation of my oldest granddaughter.



Kemberly is graduating from Caesar Rodney High School in Dover, Delaware on Saturday, May 30th, and will head off to Pennsylvania in August to begin her college education to become a Pharmacist.

It goes without saying that I am extremely proud of Kemmie. Saturday will be a day of pride and joy over her accomplishments, not only academically, but also in her four years as a member of her high school's Junior Air Force R.O.T.C. program.

As her graduation day approaches, I cannot help but remember watching my precious first granddaughter grow from an infant to the beautiful and smart young lady she is today.

Saturday will also be a day of extreme sadness for me as well, as I bid a tearful good-bye to Kemberly's Dad, my oldest son Tung Joseph, who will be leaving early Sunday morning, May 31st, for a three year stint in his country of birth, Vietnam, with the United States Air Force. As many of you know, I have four adopted sons, three from Vietnam and one from Laos. As they were growing up, I made sure that they were educated so as not to forget their native languages or customs. Since Tung is fluent in his native language (he can read, write and speak Vietnamese) he was chosen by his commanding officer to take part in a military-to-military task force between the U.S. and Vietnamese governments to finally put to rest the question of M.I.A's and P.O.W.'s that have not been heard from since the end of the Vietnam War. They will also be working on issues of immigration. My son's main job will be to act as a liaison interpreter between his commanding officer and the Vietnames counterpart. By the time Tung returns home in 2012, he will have twenty-three years of service with the United States Air Force.

And as Munchkin and I return home on Monday morning, June 1st, it will be with a heavy heart filled with a longing for those days that have faded into a distant memory, days when my home was filled with the happy laughter of four little boys at play, good night hugs and kisses and whispered "I love you dad". Of many Friday and Saturday nights when my sons invited their friends over for weekend 'sleepovers' and pizza parties, making the living room floor look like it had a wall-to-wall carpet made of Southeast Asian boys. A longing for those wonderful summer days when I took them camping and they were each allowed to bring along two friends each, and they would all run around the campgrounds playing, of all things, "Vietnam War".

US Mint "Last Opportunity" for 2008 Products

The US Mint has added a new section to their online catalog labeled "Last Opportunity." This section includes 2008 dated products that will only be available until June 30, 2009.

This is similar to the "Last Chance Sale" that the US Mint held late last year. The sale was held to clear the US Mint's inventory of prior year merchandise before a move to new fulfillment center.

The "Last Opportunity" sale is listed as a "limited-time, first-come, first-served offer" and primarily includes 2008 dated Coin Covers and Coin and Die Sets. A 7-day return policy is in effect for the items, with returns only accepted if the products are delivered damaged. All items appear to be offered at their original prices.

In general, the US Mint seems to be making more of an effort to keep their product offerings streamlined. In the past, lingering product offerings had caused their total number of products to swell. One example of this was the 2001 Kennedy Half Dollar bags and rolls, which were available continuously until 2008, when they were finally cleared out in the Last Chance Sale. The oldest dated products currently available at the US Mint are now some 2007 Presidential Dollar bags and rolls.

The First 2009 Roosevelt Dime

The first 2009 Roosevelt Dime that I have seen has turned up on eBay. A Mint News Blog reader left a comment with a link to the auction. The single circulated dime has already been bid up to $30 with two days remaining in the auction.

I wrote previously on the low production and unavailability of 2009 Nickels and Dimes. The denominations received some increased attention after Coin World reported that the US Mint had officially ended production of nickels and dimes for the remainder of the year. The US Mint's coin production figures through April 2009 indicate the following mintages:

2009-P Roosevelt Dime	96,500,000
2009-D Roosevelt Dime	49,500,000
2009-P Jefferson Nickel	39,840,000
2009-D Jefferson Nickel	39,360,000

The location of the seller of the 2009-P Roosevelt Dime is listed as Friendswood, TX. The description mentions that seller was able to get his hands on "a few of them." The seller has just listed second 2009-P Roosevelt Dime in a one day auction.

The price of the single dime has already reached a ridiculous level. At this point, the bidding is being driven by the desire to have the first (or one of the first) 2009 dated dimes. It shouldn't be taken as an indication of the value of 2009 Roosevelt Dimes. Nonetheless, it will definitely be interesting to see where the final price ends up in two more days.

Perhaps the upside of this auction is that collectors will start checking their change and hounding their local banks, searching for other 2009 nickels and dimes. The sooner a greater supply is located and comes onto the market, the sooner prices can descend to more reasonable levels.

Another development in the 2009 nickel and dime situation that I wanted to mention. There is a chance that the US Mint might produce more 2009 Nickels and Dimes even though they officially announced the end of production. Dave Harper recently interviewed US Mint Director Edmund Moy, who mentioned that the US Mint is considering creating a strategic coin reserve. The US Mint would produce and stockpile an extra supply of coins that could be tapped during periods of high coin demand or supply disruption. The prospect of striking additional nickels and dimes for the coin reserve was specifically mentioned in the interview. The US Mint hopes to make a decision on the coin reserve this year.

Humanity's Descent Into the Ugly Side of Life

HUMANITY'S DESCENT INTO THE UGLY SIDE OF LIFE:

The following is not what I had intended to blog about this evening, and I had actually written it as a comment to a blog posted by my friend Karen at "Karen Howes" Karen's posting was titled: "ART AS A REFLECTION OF CULTURE" which inspired my posting for this evening.


Ever since the "Hippie" era America, along with most of Western civilization, had been on a slow descent into the ugly side of life (and that descent has been picking up speed ever since). What we see in our so-called "art" (music, movies, TV shows, paintings, sculptures, etc.) is nothing more the reflection of the "ugly" dwelling inside the majority of people today. Our society has debased everything once held dear and in high esteem, and I do mean everything; family, our children, religious beliefs, our relationships with our neighbors and with our wider communities and even life itself.

Violence and degenerate behavior have become the norm to the point of being mundane. We have allowed our children and grandchildren to be brainwashed and indoctrinated, in our public school system, into accepting immorality and degeneracy as something to be embraced and esteemed.

The dumbing down of Western society continues at a rapid pace with each new generation becoming ever more rude, crude and lewd then the generation that produced them. We have now become a society that not only idolizes depravity and degenerate behavior, but also a society that appears to either condone or reward mediocrity and failure. Starting back in the late 1960's, parents and society failed in their duty to teach children well. They have allowed their children to accept failure without any lessons learned from failure, and that, therefore, started the long ugly descent into our false sense of entitlement. That is, many people today honestly believe they can do things without consequences because they never suffered before -- so why should it be any different now?

What happened to teaching children about the consequences of actions? What happened to teaching them right and wrong? This dereliction of duty, on the part of parents, led to the failure of our schools to impart a proper education on our children, which has led to more mediocrity in society, reaching to the highest echelons of government.

The saddest thing of all is that not only can we no longer turn to our parents, teachers, political leaders for solace and guidance, but in most cases we cannot even turn to our churches because far too many of them have begun to embrace, accept, tolerate and extol the "virtues" of the same depravity, degeneration and mediocrity that has infested all of secular society.

A morally healthy society does not legalize the slaughter of innocent unborn children.. A morally healthy society does not allow the celebration of sexual depravity. Morally healthy children do not find a need to email pictures of themselves in the nude to their 'friends'. Morally healthy teachers do not have sexual relations with very young underage students. Morally healthy political leaders do not sell out their own countries or financially enslave their own citizens in exchange for votes, campaign donations and self-serving ego boosting. And most of all, morally healthy priests, ministers, rabbis and other religious leaders do not chuck aside the TRUTHS of Holy Scripture to embrace and condone immoral and depraved life-styles and to preach cafeteria-style, feel good about yourself gospels.

How far we have fallen since the days of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Michelangelo, Bernini, Rodin, etc.

Puerto Rico Quarter Two Roll Set Sold Out

Just as the Guam Quarters Bags and Rolls went on sale today, the remaining Puerto Rico Quarter Bags and Rolls sold out.

Previously, the 1,000-coin Philadelphia and Denver mint bags had sold out. Last week, the 100-coin Philadelphia bags sold out. The two remaining options were the 100-coin Denver bag and Two Roll Set, which contains one 40-coin roll from each mint in custom wrappers.

According to Numismaster, sales statistics for the Puerto Rico bags and rolls as of last week, are as follows:

The timing of the sell out for the remaining options raises a question. Is the US Mint offering this year's bags and rolls until a certain number have been sold or until the next release goes on sale? In the case of Puerto Rico, the 1,000-coin bags sold out after an even 2,000 were sold across both mints. The 100-coin bags and Two Roll Sets were both close to an even 40,000, which could have been reached over the long Memorial Day weekend. The US Mint could have ended sales of the remaining options because the production run had sold out, or to coincide with the release of the Guam bags and rolls.

In the long term, I think buyers of the Puerto Rico bags and rolls will be rewarded. According to the US Mint's posted production figures only 53.2 million 2009-P Puerto Rico Quarters were produced and only 86 million 2009-D Puerto Rico Quarters. These represent the lowest quarter mintages in over four decades. As the case has been recently, the US Mint packaged bags and rolls may bring sustainable premiums over plain or generic wrapped rolls obtained from banks.

Cap and Trade; Are You Ready for the Poor House?

"CAP & TRADE" DO YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT IT IS?

If you are confused about the term "CAP & TRADE," you are not alone. Would you believe that only 24% of likely voters understand the term correctly, according to a recent Rasmussen poll, so let me help you out.

The following is NOT a joke, so please read and become educated, so that you will know what is about to befall you financially.

In general terms, "CAP & TRADE" refers to a plan to regulate energy production and the use of fossil fuels across the entire economy. It is a HUGE new government MANDATE. The 'CAP' refers to government plans to cap or limit the amount of carbon dioxide and other "greenhouse" gasses that companies will be allowed to emit. It will hit energy companies the hardest, since half of our nation's electricity is produced with coal, and another 30% comes from other sources like oil and natural gas. All fossil fuels emit carbon dioxide when burned for energy.

The 'TRADE' half of the plan refers to the government mandates which force a company to trade or buy permits to emit more carbon dioxide if that company exceeds its 'CAP.' The permits will be issued by the government, so it is a TAX on energy production and energy use, which would be passed on to consumers -- that is you and me.

Representative John Dingell (D-MI) explained it best when he said, "No body in this country realizes that cap and trade is a tax, and it is a great big one!" He is absolutely right, "cap and trade" could result in more than $3,000 IN ADDITIONAL expenses to EVERY American family every single year, which is why many Americans who are in the know, refers to "cap and trade" as "CAP AND TAX."

But, don't just take my word for it. In January of last year, then candidate Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle: "So, if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that is being emitted. ...you know, under my plan of cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."

Obama's budget, which just about every liberal in Congress voted for, calls for a "cap and trade" scheme that raises hundreds of billions of dollars in NEW TAXES. White House aids have told Senate staffers that the plan could raise as much as $2 trillion in new taxes.

Here we are in the middle of a recession and Obama along with liberal politicians on Capitol Hill are scheming to impose one of the biggest tax increases in history. And it will affect every single American who turns on a light, drives to work or consumes products of any kind, since just about every economic activity involves the use of fossil fuels!

Lies, Damn Lies and Barack Obama:

When is America going to wake up to this man's lies and deceits?

In an eye opening interview on C-Span, this Poser-in-Chief unashamedly told the American people that our country is broke.

Steve Scully, the host of C-Span, asked the following probing question to Obama;

Scully: "You know the numbers, a $1.7 trillion debt, a national deficit of $11 trillion dollars. At what point do we run out of money?"

Borack Obama, in a very nonchalant manner answered, saying;

Obama: "Well, we are out of money now. We are operating in deep deficits, not caused by any decisions we've made on health care so far. This is a consequence of the crisis that we've seen and in fact our failure to make some good decisions on health care over the last several decades."

In other words, this whole economic crisis that we are facing today has been caused by the rising cost of health care. For God's sake people, when are you going to wake up and realize that Obama and the Democrats are feeding you a line of crap that stinks to high heaven?

Then Obama went on to add:

Obama: "So we got a short-term problem, which is we had to spend a lot of money to salvage our financial system, we had to deal with the auto companies, a huge recession which drains tax revenue at the same time its putting more pressure on governments to provide unemployment insurance or make sure that food stamps are available for people who have been laid off."

Not once did he even mention all of the money that the government has been doling out to make the lives of illegal immigrants as comfortable as possible, with food stamps, free health care, free education and low-income housing. And not once did he mention the big part that he and other Democrats (namely Chris Dodd and Barney Frank) played in causing the housing bubble bust and the financial crisis we are in.

And how about all of the doctors, health clinics and insurance companies that have been ripping off Medicare and Medicaid for years, often with the full knowledge of the government that allowed it to continue?

But here is what Obama had to say:

Obama: "So we have a short term problem and we also have a long term problem. The short term problem is dwarfed by the long term problem. And the long term problem is Medicaid and Medicare. If we don't reduce long term health care inflation substantially, we can't get control of the deficit."

So there again, every thing is the fault of health care especially Medicaid and Medicare. Doesn't this moron realize that if the government stopped handing out medical care to illegal immigrants and if they would crack down on those who are abusing the system, that would solve a large portion of the problem? But hell no, instead he wants to cut down on treatments and medications that elderly American citizens have paid into all their working lives.

Once again, I am warning American's to wake the hell up to the scam that this fraud has and is perpetrating on the American people and the harm that he is doing to this nation. People, we don't have four years, this man MUST be stopped and Stopped NOW.

What Hath We Wrought Upon Our Nation?

I owe a note of thanks to my good buddy over at the Localmalcontent
for bringing the following audio to my attention. It is from an interview that B. Hussein Obama gave on NPR back in 2001.

When you hear him describe the Constitution of the United States as being "a limited and limiting piece of paper," and claiming it to be a "charter of 'Negative liberties' and that it does not say what the government must do on our behalf," you will understand why I was so disgusted yesterday when he gave his little lip flap about Gitmo while standing in front of the Constitution of the United States. The dip-wad even insults the founding fathers for being so short-sighted, all within the first two minutes of the interview. Then for the final two minutes, he talks about redistribution of the nation's wealth. And please keep in mind that this poser claims to be a Constitutional lawyer and that he taught Constitutional law. Those that heard this interview at the time, should have seen the writing on the wall as to what Obama's intentions were for the United States.

Missing Girl and Wanted Person Located

On May 22, 2009 shortly after 6:00 pm, the United States Park Police dispatchers received a telephone report that a critical missing teenage girl from Montgomery County, MD was in Dupont Circle Park. The caller also said that she was accompanied by a person who was wanted by the police for a child pornography violation.

This caller learned of the missing girl and her wanted companion from a story run this afternoon on the local Washington, DC NBC affiliate’s 5:00pm news broadcast. He referred to this story when he spoke with United States Park Police dispatchers.

The United States Park Police located the person wanted in Arlington County for child pornography violations. He was arrested.

The critical missing girl was located shortly after.

The girl was taken to a United States Park Police facility to arrange for her return to Montgomery County.

Major Jon Pierce Retires

United States Park Police Major Jon Pierce will retire on May 24, 2009. Major Pierce completed a distinguished career with many notable accomplishments ranging from local and significant criminal cases in Washington, DC to international events including serving as Incident Commander of the United States Park Police actions for President Obama’s Inauguration.

Major Pierce entered service with the National Park Service in 1979 as a seasonal Park Ranger in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

In May 1987, he joined the United States Park Police where he was a distinguished graduate of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center. While in training, he received the Hawkins Award, given to the highest achieving recruit in United States Park Police basic training.

Major Pierce served as a patrol officer at the Rock Creek Station and also was a plainclothes tactical officer where he investigated many narcotics offenses. Major Pierce’s career advanced to firearms instructor, Sergeant at the United States Park Police Greenbelt and Rock Creek Stations and then as a SWAT team Sergeant.

When Jon Pierce was promoted to Lieutenant, he served as a Shift Commander, the Commander of SWAT, Commander of Aviation, Commander of the Planning and Development Unit, and Commander of the Horse Mounted Patrol.

Promoted to Captain, Jon Pierce served as the Regional Law Enforcement Specialist for the Southeast region in Atlanta, GA.

He was promoted to Major as the Commander of the Special Forces Branch and the Icon Protection Branch.

Jon Pierce’s greatest challenge perhaps, was as the United States Park Police Incident Commander for the 56th Presidential Inauguration of President Obama. This event was one of the largest public gatherings in Washington, DC history coupled with some of the most intense law enforcement and security challenges the Department has faced. With record crowd numbers and dangerously cold weather, the Inauguration was completed with no arrests and no significant incidents, injuries, or illness.

Major Pierce will return to his roots with the National Park Service as the Regional Law Enforcement Specialist in Atlanta, GA.

The United States Park Police wishes Major Pierce well in his future National Park Service endeavors and looks forward to continually working with him and using his expertise.

Guam Quarter Bags & Rolls

Sales of Guam Quarter Bags and Rolls will begin at the US Mint on May 26, 2009 at 12:00 Noon ET. This will be the third coin released for the 2009 DC & US Territories Quarters Program.

The reverse design features an outline of Guam and two symbols associated with the island, a sailing vessel known as the "Flying Proa" and an architectural stone pillar known as the "Latte." An inscription reads "Guahan I Tanó ManChamorro" (translated: Guam - Land of the Chamorro). The reverse was designed by David Westwood and sculpted by Jim Licaretz.

The US Mint will offer 1,000 coin and 100 coin bags of Guam Quarters from the Philadelphia or Denver Mint priced at $309.95 and $32.95. Two roll sets will also be offered with one 40 coin roll from the Philadelphia Mint and one 40 coin roll from the Denver Mint, both in custom US Mint wrappers. The two roll sets are priced at $32.95.

Production figures have not yet been released for the Guam Quarter, but most collectors are expecting a very low mintage. The previous release for the Puerto Rico Quarter had production of 53.2 million coins in Philadelphia and 86 million coins in Denver. If the Guam Quarter has a mintage at or below this level, it could be a long term winner.

Many of this year's quarter bags and rolls have sold out at the US Mint. All options for the District of Columbia Quarter are sold out. For the Puerto Rico Quarter, both 1,000 coin bags and the 100 coin bag for Philadelphia are sold out. Even though these previous releases sold out quickly with few units offered, the US Mint now seems to be increasing the number of units available for sale if the Rail Splitter Two Roll Set Sales are any indication.

OBAMA, THE LIAR IN-CHIEF:

This morning, wrapping himself in the mantel of the defender of constitutional rights and freedoms, Obama once again made one of his many daily television appearances, this time standing in front of our nation's Founding Documents to flap his lips about why he insists upon closing the Gitmo terrorist detention camp.

I found it absolutely amazing how Obama could lie with such ease time and again, without even batting an eye. After having witnessed eight years of lies, exaggerations and distortion of the truth that came out of the Clinton administration, I have come to the conclusion that being a consummate liar is a prerequisite for those who wish to become leaders of the Democrat party.

As he stood there in front of the United States Constitution, Obama said how he took seriously his oath of office to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and how it is his constitutional duty to protect our rights and freedoms and to defend our borders to keep the people safe, I could not help but think, "How come, if he holds the Constitution in such high esteem, then why does he continue to dismantle it piece-meal almost on a daily basis?" Of all of the presidents this nation has had since its founding, Barack Hussein Obama has been the most prolific when it comes to violating the Supreme Law of the Land, and in usurping powers that he does not have under the enumeration of powers.

Obama and his administration are working overtime through 'back door' means to severely limit our First Amendment rights by attempting to push through the so-called "Fairness Doctrine" and the enacting of the expanded "Hate Crimes" legislation. And they are working toward the total elimination of the Second Amendment by proposing and attempting to push through ever more stringent unconstitutional gun control laws.

He continues in his refusal to secure our borders, while at the same time, he is pushing for total amnesty for millions of illegal immigrants while allowing millions more to enter illegally. He has made drastic cuts in defense spending while assuring us that the first thing on his mind when he gets up in the morning, and the last thing on his mind when he goes to bed at night, is what he can do to keep the American people safe. He sure has a strange way of showing it. He has signed into law the "Give Act", which will eventually "Force" all American citizens into national "volunteer" service, while at the same time completely suspending their First and Second Amendment Rights during their terms of service.

Obama's administration is rapidly forcing total government control over our banks, insurance companies, auto manufactures, and our health care industries, and eventually take full federal control over all student loans. All of these are a complete and total violation of the Constitution.

Barack Obama lied through his teeth throughout the campaign and the lies and deceits have continued and grown since his election. He continues with the LIE that he inherited this bad economy from President G.W. Bush. The TRUTH is, he played a huge part in the creation of the financial crisis we face today. Obama lied when he said, "Too often bills are rushed through Congress and to the president before the public has the opportunity to to review them. as president, I will not sign any non-emergency bill without giving the American public the opportunity to review and comment on them on the White House website for five days." The TRUTH is that the first bill he signed into law was the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, two days after it was passed. He also claimed that the huge so-called stimulus spending bill, loaded with "pork" was needed immediately, and ordered Congress to pass it, which they did, without even reading it and knowing what was in it. Obama lied again when he said, "We need 'earmark reform', and when I am president, I will go line by line to make sure we're not spending money unwisely." The TRUTH, how does that explain him signing the $410 billion, pork laden, Omnibus bill that contained approximately 9,000 earmarks?

He promised that he would not hire lobbyists to work in his White House, even signing an executive order to that effect, then turned around and named health care lobbyist Tom Daschle to be Secretary of Health and William Lynn, a defense lobbyist, as Deputy Secretary of Defense. After it was discoverd that he was a tax cheat, Daschle dropped out. Obama claimed that any hiring or other employment decisions he makes will be based on the candidate's qualifications, competence, and experience. yet, upon closer inspection, we find that his picks have been purely political. Most had absolutely no experience for the job they were given, such as Leon Panetta to head the CIA, and Timothy Geithner, a tax cheat extrodinaire, to head the IRS as the Secretary of Treasury.

How about Obama's claim that, "Transparency and the rule of law will be the touchstones of this presidency." Yet he absolutely refuses to turn over his own records concerning his place of birth. Obama also stated, "The cost of health care now causes a bankruptcy in America every thirty seconds." That has been proven to be an out-and-out LIE. At the rate that Obama claims, it would mean that way over a million bankruptcies a year occur due to health care costs, which just is not happening. Obama claims that his figures came from a 2001 Harvard study, another LIE, because the facts showed that in 2001 there were only 1.4 million total bankruptcies in the U.S. with less then 248,000 of those were due to health care expenses.

Obama insists that he was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961, but recent lawsuits have been filed that challenge this assertion. He has absolutely refused to produce a vault (long form) copy of his birth certificate. He has only posted a redacted (which makes it invalid) document of a 'certificate of live birth' stating that his birth place was Hawaii, but a certificate of live birth IS NOT the same as a birth certificate. The State of Hawaii, allows parents to file a certificate of live birth for children born outside of Hawaii. There is a growing moutain of evidence, which includes witnesses and family members in Kenya that swear that Obama was born in Kenya.

Obama's academic record is also clouded as he refuses to release it. Apparently, his grades and actual writings are highly suspect, since he refuses to release them. It is believed they are not of a very high academic caliber. It is believed that they contain plagerisms, racism and socialist crap.

For no apparent reason, today Obama is a millionaire. He has NEVER held a true job other then the normal part-time jobs students have (kind of reminds one of Bill Clinton). He was involved in what politicians (especially those from Chicago) do best: begging for money for "worthy causes" and then skimming off the top or out-and-out shake downs in the fashion of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. Obama's wife, Michelle, managed to secure a $300,000-plus per year job at the University of Chicago Medical Center because of Obama's political connections. Her main job was "patient dumping", in other words, if you were on Medicaid, Medicare or some other "lesser means of health care insurance", it was her job to convince you that it was in your best interest to seek medical attention elsewhere instead of at the University of Chicago Medical Center. Even if it were a dire emergency Michelle and her underlings made damn sure that you went someehere else, that is unless you had the "cash" to pay upfront.

Today, barrack Hussein Obama is currently involved in destroying our American way of life and our economy. He totally disrespects our long time allies while sucking up to our enemies and he will not tolerate any crticism about him or his policies. Even some of his most ernest supporters are now shocked at the "Change" he is forcing upon the United States, because it is far from the "change" they had "hoped" for. He has foisted upon us liberal Washington insiders whom he has put into positions of power with little to no experience, like himself, other than the Socialist/Marxist crap they have been indoctrinated in by radical leftist academics, whom they studied under in colleges and universities. They are oblivious of the fact that Socialism and Communism have been dismal failures everywhere in the world they have been attempted. But Obama and his ilk will never let the TRUTH get in the way of their LIES.
