"Love is the quest, marriage is the conquest, divorce is the inquest."

A TWELVE YEAR-OLD SPEAKS HER MIND ON ABORTION!

A twelve year-old girl, facing threats of disqualification, ended up taking first place in a speech contest eloquently arguing for the rights of unborn children - that led an "OFFENDED" judge to quit.

The girl, identified only as "Lia", who is a student at a Toronto school, began her speech saying, "What if I told you right now, someone was choosing if you were going to live or die? What if I told you that this choice wasn't based on what you could or couldn't do, what you done in the past or what you would do in the future? And what if I told you, you could do nothing about it?"

This girl has spunk. Despite her enthusiasm for her topic, her teacher tried to get her to select another topic or she would be ruled ineligible for an upcoming speech contest. Lia insisted and gave the speech before her class. Her teacher was so impressed that she allowed Lia to advance as the winner. Lia then presented her speech to judges in front of her entire school on February 10th.

Even though the school principal and the teachers called Lia's speech and "obvious winner", the judges suddenly disqualified her the following day "because of the topic and her position on abortion." said Lia's mother.

Lia's father later said that there was a "big disagreement" between the judges. One was offended by the speech and voluntarily stepped down, while the others reversed their earlier decision and declared her the winner.

Lia now plans to take her message of life to a regional speech competition, and more than 130,000 visitors viewed her presentation on line, you can view the video below.

This amazing girl has more guts then most adults I know. Way to go Lia!
