Medical Ethics?

THE FOLLOWING POSTINGS SHOULD HAVE ALL OF US QUACKING IN OUR COLLECTIVE BOOTS, ESPECIALLY WITH NATIONAL HEALTH CARE LOOMING ON THE HORIZON. IT HAS TO DO WITH MEDICAL ETHICS OR THE LACK THERE OF. I WRITE, YOU DECIDE.

SWEDEN LEGALIZES GENDER-BASED ABORTIONS:

Yes folks, you read that right, women in Sweden will now be permitted to murder their unborn children, based upon the sex of the child, thanks to a ruling by Sweden's National Board of Health and Welfare.

This ruling came as a request from a Kai Wedenberg, head of a clinic where a woman twice requested, and received an abortion based on the sex of her unborn child. I guess it is easier to succumb to evil then to stand on the side of morality.

The woman, who already was the mother of two girls, requested an amniocentesis test and to be told the sex of her unborn child. When she found that she was pregnant with another girl, she had an abortion six days later.

She then became pregnant again and returned to the clinic and asked for another
amniocentesis, which was refused. Later at her ultrasound, she asked the nurse to reveal the sex of the fetus, which was a girl. After learning this, the woman had another abortion later that week.

In a letter to the National Board of Health and Welfare, Wedenberg stated that, "the matter has given rise to strong feelings among those involved who, perhaps justifiably, believe that the patient has gone through two abortions because of the fetus' gender, and want to know if a caregiver within the public health system has the right to make reference to their own views and the dominent view in our country about genders' equal value, in preventing a patient, with perhaps a different valuation, from learning the gender of the fetus."

The board responded, by saying that it is illegal to deny a woman an abortion up to her 18th week of pregnancy even if her request is based on a sex preference.

So there you have it, as long as woman can have an abortion for any reason under the sun, health care providers have no right to reference their own views on anything. Now, do you care to guess how long it will take for gender-based abortions to come to the United States?

NUMBER TWO IN THIS LITTLE HORROR FEST:

Stop Wasting Money On the Elderly!

A sentiment heard more and more these days, as Obama and the Democrats in Congress push ahead with their plans for National Health Care, is "the elderly are such a drain on society we should just come up with a way to better manage the growing elderly segment of our society." One way would be to follow the advice of Baroness Warnock of Great Britain who believes that people should soon be "licensed to put others down" if they unable to look after themselves. I mean, after all, why should the government waste taxpayers' money on the elderly (or the terminally ill or senile and possibly returning vets with drastic injuries) who won't be around very long any way, when there are other unimportant things to waste trillions of dollars of taxpayer money on? The limited amount of money that the government is willing
to spend on health care could better be spent on younger more deserving people, don't you think?

I am afraid that this is exactly what we will face if Obama and his cohorts have their way and pass their National Health Care. Check out the following video:
